got the mask 100 and 100 version II, they are nice lures and still in package. However, the Mask 100 is actually a Sinking jerkbait but it wobbles as it sinks

i read the review like 2 min after i posted this question, i think rip means just go crazy with the rod tip and makin short sweeping jerks, but thats just what i think

ripping is pretty popular in the great lakes areas for smallies...

it is defined as making a huge, fast sweeping jerk, followed up by another and another. It wears a guy out, but it can also wear out the fish in clear water and post spawn...

i do laugh at the fact that some think that this lure is "new", some of mine have 2000 written on them! Smile

the only bummer is that this article will probably cause the ebay price of the 110's to jump... for a while you could get them for around $15

JimmyB is absolutely right. Ripping does a real number on your arms and hands but it does a real number on fish too. Laughing

PS: Additcing is when a bait "catches" the fisherman just as well as it catches fish. Just can't get enough of these lures...
