How much better is a destroyer then a LTXII or the like?
I'm not sure one could effectively argue "better" than some other high end rods, but many of them certainly are truly stunning to look at!

my megabass rods are my favorite rods to fish and they perform the best for me, thats all i care about, well they do look awesome too
they may not make money, but it could certainly cover the cost so they dont lose money.

Boondock wrote:I agree about companies wrapping it up in the price for sure! I haven't broken a rod in several years but with my luck somehow my Megabass would break.
Yes they are great to look at but I also have a guy that builds rods for me at a great price and I choose the color, guides, handle, etc....
Think I will stick to those and my Kistlers.

Would I purchase a rod without warranty ? sure, that´s how I got most of mine.

Gone Phishin wrote:If I owned a boat, I would have bought a few MB rods with this big sale. As a non-boater, I cannot.
Every time I go fishing I have to lug all of my tackle and rods up my basement stairs, and then load it into my car. I can take my cheaper rods up several at a time, but the GLX, LE, LTA's, etc go two at a time, tops. After arriving at my buddies, the rods are loaded into his truck, then the boat once we hit the launch.
At the end of the day, everything is done in reverse. Unfortunately that's wht I won't buy a JDM rod. It is what it is. I'll live.
All said, if I had my own boat with a rod locker, several rods would be en route from Evansville as we speak.
