Mono for frog fishing?

Anybody still using mono for frog fishing or has everyone switched to braid?

braid for me monos too stretchy besides that i like that you can have thinner line n heavier test with braid.

I've tried mono but it just doesn't work for me. I just loose to many fish.

i prefer mono for frogs. i have a habit of setting the hook way too fast, i think the stretch in mono helps with this a little.

I actually prefer fishing with mono. However, I love the feel of braid. It is great for for just about everything. There are things that mono may be better for, but I am trying to use braid exclusively. I can't say that the visibility is an issue with braid-even in super clear water. However, I do have one super huge complaint. I absolutely hate the noise of the braid going through the guides. Especially with my cranking rod. Today, I used both mono and braid for frogs and braid is definitely the way to go.

No way - braid all the way. If you are fishing a frog in slop with mono, you are bringing a knife to a gun fight.
