Lowrance lms-520c help

I just bought a boat and it came equip'd with the lowrance 520c and it seems to take a really long time
to lock onto a satellite. I seriously sat in the water one day ( clear skys no trees) and it took 19 mins before it locked on. Does anyone know how to adjust this or is it just the way it is?
