What do you want to see this ICAST?

Postby Zander » Mon Jul 14, 2008 9:37 pm

With the clock ticking down to the start of the show what do you want to see this year from manufacturers? Any predictions? :?:

As gas prices go up, cars and trucks get smaller, more high quality 2 piece rods will be offered.
Get it while you can

Little bird told me that we could be seeing some slick new electronics. Lowrance is rumored to have an answer coming for Side imaging ( not confirmed). Raymarine should have some GOOD stuff.

Also, bring on the sub $20 swimbaits. I need to get it in check....

Another Daiwa baitcaster mid priced between a Steez and Zillion. A "Stelion"? LOL. More "bling/super tune" options for Daiwa products that are currently available on the JDM market and be made easily accessible to the CONUS market. Imagine the "show" and "tell" that would happen. :)

Ooooo now this could be something to behold! Bring it on! We have decent Lowrance support in South Africa but Hummingbird isn’t the greatest!

okay so.... i heard it through the G-vine. This is for all you Falcon lovers. Falcon has designed a newer lighter TC-7 rod probly wont have the same name but it will have the all new ACS fugi reel seat, EVA high grade handles in straight and split grip modles. Ive also been told that for the first time they will be removing the foregrip. not sure exactly what IM blank theyll be using but..... even i cant wait for these to be released.

5.1 steez/5.1 core...5.1 anything would be nice.

especially, if it's under 6 oz.

Does nobody but us Canucks want that kind of rod? I HOPE we get more of them, but I wouldn't bet on it. Everybody's obsessed with "poodle tail" handles, and balance be damned! I hate it when those fashion trends take over!
Soon, you'll have to go custom to get a full cork handle

On the other hand, smaller and lighter reels is one trend  I just LOVE!

Aren't we due for GREEN, BROWN or outright CAMO hooks?
