Hi Bruce,

We too are chomping at the bit to show you the new line-up of Pinnacle rods and reels. Unfortunately they are under wraps until the ICAST Show in July. Hang in there...they'll be worth the wait!

Hey Bruce, Jim is correct. These rods are worth every moment of wait. The crankin rod is a great choice. It is one of the best I have ever felt or used. The action is perfect! Wait till you wrap your hands around the telescoping Carolina Rig rod. :D

That knurled winding check is awfully nice...

So, is the carbon fiber tape a plain weave or a twill? Also, what type of fill does the tape have? The scrimless layup is interesting.

Tokugawa,
The new rod series uses two layers of high density carbon tape, one wrapped over and one under high modulus graphite. The result is a super light weight and exceptionally strong series of bass rods. Sorry we are unable to discuss your questions regarding some of the finer details of the construction process as this is proprietary in nature.

Thanks Jim. I can certainly understand the proprietary nature. Good luck!
