I just compiled all of the rod specs and weights found above this morning and I never knew how much lighter the old Kistler Helium LTAs were compared to the new ones including their LTX line, in addition to many premium rods. Wow, simply amazing and I almost sold this rod not too long ago. What a huge mistake I would have made. I have already matched it up with an Abu Garcia Revo Inshore reel and is ready to catch some big Snook and medium Tarpon.
Kistler Helium LTA He66MHC 6’6” ¼-¾ oz 12-20lb 3.8oz 108g
This rod must be one if not the first LTA model they came out with because it doesn't even come with the serial number which is usually found just above the foregrip. It has the Blue Zirconia / Stainless steel guides and the EVA butt on the handle. The rod's blank looks like bare graphite and is very different from all of my other Kistler rods.
Is even lighter than its comparable counterpart and main competition
G. Loomis IMX MBR784C 6’6” ¼-1 oz 12-20lb 4.4oz 126g
as well as the premium
Daiwa Steez STZ671MHFBA 6’7” ¼-1 oz 12-20lb 3.8oz 110g
Anyone on this forum has a newer Kistler Helium LTA He66MHC model they can weight and post the specs.
