Re: Japan Lure Shop
Thanks for the suggestion of Digitaka... Of all the shops, they had stock for what I was looking for. Ordered and delivered within a week! 10yo will have a nice Xmas! Daddy might be borrowing his setup often!

Japan Lure Shop
Anyone ordered from JLS or any other japan dealers recently? Wondering how long delivery is taking. Worried about not getting an order for Xmas if I place it with all the delays I'm hearing about (in general, not about any company, specifically). This would be delivered to Ohio. Thanks.

Re: Issues with Tackle Warehouse
To follow up, just spoke with a rep who is expediting the shipment today based on my experience. Because of the delay, they are shipping two-day with no extra charge. Looks like the right person finally got involved. Hoping others don't have to go through this with TW and it's not a sign of things t...

Issues with Tackle Warehouse
Hello Everyone, I wonder if anyone else has had issues with Tackle Warehouse recently. I placed a very large order during their black Friday sale in November, as I always do, and several items were backordered. No problem; I had the whole winter to wait for the items to come in. I checked the status...

Awesome transaction. Great communication, rod was meticulously packed, and arrived very promptly. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Looking forward to doing business with again.

Re: Do you think Pro's cares about Rod brands?
[quote="skeletor6"]I would imagine that an elite pro such as KVD would have quantum build him custom rods to suit his needs. Then they would design and mark the rod to seem like one you would buy at the store. KVD has a great relationship with his sponsor and has more say and control than most spons...

Re: Daiwa Zillion bearing ratings
I spoke with a Daiwa rep about this who said they are comparable to ABEC 5s and/or 7s. Even so, I changed my Zillions to Boca ABEC 7 orange seals. Honestly, I didn't see a whole lot of difference. Could be operator error, though...

Re: Best casting Daiwa reel?
I have several Zillions (50th Ann., PA, HA), a couple Steez (100HA, 103SHA) and a PX Type R. Feel is very similar in all, yet I agree, the zillions perform better with heavier lures (3/8+). Obviously the PX is best for light lures, although the Steez 103SHA comes close. I just love the weight and fe...
