That would hold roughly 75 yards of a #40 braid

Expride A Locking Nut

I have an original expride and I hate the large-diameter Locking nut. The model I have is a two piece in the handle and I can get the nut off while the rod is apart. Any chance I can get an A style locking nut? It would allow me to put my pointer finger on the blank. I tried some other Fuji Parts bu...

That is also a great rod. I wasn't aware they were still available. Does many things well.

Re: Daiwa Sv103 magnets not engaging

Mark the magnets and watch as you adjust the dial. The inner ring should not move. If it is, you will need to remove and epoxy it in place.

Haven't had that issue on newer models. But I have fixed to old TD-Zs.

I had a Banax made 13 Fishing Concept KP that buzzed right out of the box. Traded it for a PX Type R and while it is no brass geared Alphas in smoothness it is lightyears ahead of the Banax in smoothness and noise.

Re: New Daiwa reel?

Seems like it is going to be either Tatual for baitcasting or MQ for spinning. The problem I have... diminishing returns. I used to justify the Steez, TDZ, Pixy because it was unique, more refined, and just down right cool. With all of the frames being the same. Most of the materials being identical...

Re: New Daiwa reel?

I was just reading the review of the new metanium. They were gushing at the Magnesium frame and the feel. It looks somewhat similar to a TD-Z.

I miss classic Daiwa

The Evergreen hooks are not light wire but they are the sharpest and strongest hooks for their size.

Re: Morethan 1000xh - Coffee Grinder

I have many sets of gears I have collected over the years. This is the first time I've had to ran into the send for repair. Usually just send the part numbers to Plat or JLS. As for price, I would love it to be only 6,500 yen. Howerver, unless it says different in the Japanese text, it has always be...

Morethan 1000xh - Coffee Grinder

I got a Morethan 1000xh last September from Japan Lure Shop. Never really got to put it to work before the winter. I was throwing jerkbaits last week and twice it engaged during a cast. What was one of the smoothest reels I own is now possibly the worst. Even more frustrating, the Morethan is a mode...

Re: BFS/micro frog

https://i.imgur.com/aOmXGVZl.jpg I have these two little guys, but I have no idea who makes them. I throw them on a M/XF Avid with 13lb mono. It's all wrong but it works a lot of the time so long as I am reasonable about where I throw them. Maybe booyah and scumfrog? Jackall spin gavacho. They are ...

Re: daiwa morethan 19

I have one with #50 PP and it holds plenty of line for me. I was frog fishing and I can't get close to spooling it even bombing it. It holds more than my SV103s and I've frogged with those for 3 years now. I was throwing a jerkbait on a SV103 spool with #12 floro and it is a superb caster. I love th...
