Re: Is there a release date on new GLX spinning?

How deep are you guys going to fish tubes with the 892? I'm not sure if I want the 2 or the 3 power yet for tubes.

Re: What Megabass Lure colors for Clear Water

I've caught large and smallmouth on erie and clear Canadian Shield lakes off of any megabass colour . Throw it where the fish are and you will get bit.

Calais DC bearings help

Will BNT2927 bearings work in the DC or do they have to be BNT3627 ? Just wondering because I have a friend who has BNT2927 on hand.

Re: New loomis Rods

Played with the e6x at the store and they seem very soft. I was looking to get a FPR for punching but they seem very under powered. The crankbait rod was like a wet noodle. Not sure if the e6x was a good idea for loomis.

Re: Shimano Calais - Why is it not popular?

I find my DC amazing for straight chucking and winding. If you are going to work a bait the weight does start to factor in. Maintenance is a bit more complicated than the other reels if you clean your own gear.

Re: Need help finding another frog rod

NRX 873 CRR. I use this rod all the time for frogs and its great! It's 7'3" and I think the handle length is 14' 3/4". Your frog will launch a mile with this rod and will easily drag a 5 out of the slop. The tip is just soft enough that when the bass blows up on the frog 9 out of 10 times you will c...

Re: New gear help for a noob.

I am reading a bit into your words, but... If you are accustomed to UglyStik rods, the term 'quality that will last' may have different meaning to you than it does to me. Median to high end freshwater bass fishing rods, when handled incorrectly, break very easily. UglyStiks are very durable in this...

Curado 300E! I use this for Muskie and toss some huge baits a mile with 80lb power pro braid.

Good to hear you like it for splitshotting SuperCoupe. That is one technique I was hoping to use it for.

Re: Flouro Light line, heavy line same knot?

I've been doing some research on the flouro lines and it seems like the stretchier the line the better the knot strength. The Toray super hard looks like the best mix of low stretch and decent knot strength. I think a soft rod would be better for the low stretch line. Has anyone tried the Toray? How...

I feel like it's the palomar knot as well buster 2900. I will try a different knot and see what happens.
