It's been confirmed to be made of brass. TTT has conversio kits for the Met based reels as the K gears fit.mark poulson wrote:Is the main gear brass?

Review states materials being used are plastic and wood. Are there specific colors that are wood? The ones I have are all plastic :-k It's all plastic. Just failed to delete "wood" in the matrix. It says "plastic or wood" as a reminder to each editor to identify the lure materia...

With exchange rates the way they are now, the Shimano can be had for around $350 and the Daiwa for $550. Price is before shipping. Much more obtainable now.

The handle in the last photo looks like a wiebe handle. I have an older MBR843 GLX with the wiebe handle, IMO, one of the most comfortable handle. Very exciting stuff.
