Re: 13 Archangel

You import phoenix so I'm not surprised you said that. With his record among Phenix users in this forum no one is. Keep in mind this is a record of service extended beyond both our time on TTF and indeed some other brands. Also, why would sales of a rod in the US affect an importer? :-k That said, ...

Re: Conquest 201 line capacity??

I thought at 12/110 it's less than a Z2020 which is quite shallow. Swimbaiters use around 20lb mono for 3-5oz right?
Would mean I need something with a larger capacity.

Re: Revo Beast takes Best Freshwater Reel Icast 2014

13 fishing reels maybe popular on internet forums but that doesn't necessarily mean sales success yet. My thoughts as well, lots and lots of hype, especially now with the "Trick Shop"....but I'll need more then a trick shop to convince me, and for that matter, it might take a year or two. Question ...

Re: Curado I, Chronarch CI4+, Metanium '13 Spool Dimensions

Haven't measured them, but it's my understanding that spools for the three will not interchange. Highly likely as in time all models may come in 50,100,150,200 etc..much like the previous gen. For now I guess we could just choose models depending on spool depth needed and go met + avail/KTF if requ...

Re: Bfs, Centrifugal or Mag ?

I've been casting both on indentical rods, lines and lures. I found the centrifugally braked BFS reels better at handling at "balls out" hard casts where there is always a setting that requires zero care or thumb control. With the magnetically braked finesse reel, less thumb control seems to be requ...

Do you keep 2 bait finesse rigs, one for horizontal, the other for vertical jig type applications?

I think it is just as deep as my SV 105, or slightly shallower. A versatile finesse spool.
With 8#/100m can the honeycomb be seen through the line?

Re: Lew's VS Shimano

A Doyo reel is a Doyo reel... I've fished most everything out there in the bass world $200-500 range. All doyo reels feel hollow and cheap to me . Out of the whole Doyo line, the Pfluger felt a little better(breaking seemed more precise) , as you know basic cookie cutter reels all the way through t...

Re: Lew's VS Shimano

Looks like you've got that area dialed in! I got a frog fish Saturday, the first one this year. It was actually a homemade version of the Bobby's Perfect Buzz Frog, and a 4lb fish blew up on it in front of the weeds and pulled it down. On 50lb braid it wasn't getting off, and I was laughing like a ...

Re: KP Spool and why its cool

Haha Bad typo on my behalf Matt. I was asking Bronzeye what were his last 5 reel purchases were. However I ain't the only one. 75yds of 10lb is a excellent capacity for finesse fishing as well as for other uses. MCYL, The spools(Shallow and Deep) are not finalized so we cannot confirm specs yet, but...
