Reel can be a factor as well. I know you said 711 tops but whats 1 more inch. Current setup is dobyns 807 with calcutta te can cast a 5in bullshad to og deps 250. You can also do it on a 908. Rods may feel too stiff for some for the smaller baits but works fine for me

I think you might want to ask them to make it a casting version. If I remember correctly the sf usually is for spinning rod. I could be wrong. Hope that helps

400te. Didn't think I would like it at first but was corrected as soon as I used. Love it and the disengaged levelwind makes casting distance easy. Add some abec stainless steel bearings and you'll be in for surprise.
