Re: 2014: your current favorite braid/ new braids feedback.

Sunline Fx2 is my favorite. I still use a lot of regular PP though and have never had an issue.

Re: Savage Gear Glide Swimmer

Wish the ice would melt around here so I could throw mine. I grabbed a bluegill color glide and am hoping to land some big MN largies on it. Also going to pick up a line thru to toss around once all the new colors come out. keeping my fingers crossed for a perch, otherwise I'll probably grab the new...

Re: Swim Jig And Trailers

Northstar swim jig for sparse cover and the Flip and Swim for heavy cover. I usually run a 4-5" single tail grub or paddle tail swimbait. Another good option is the Havoc subwoofer.

Re: Smallie hair jigs

NorthStar Custom Baits is known for their hair jigs. The owner Chris is a smallie fanatic and he put in a lot of effort into making a perfect hair jig. They have a mixture of bucktail and silicone to create a look that most fish have never seen. They range from 2.99-3.49 in price. http://i697.photob...

13 fishing Omen jig rod

For the people who have fished these rods would you go with a MH or H action rod to handle jigs. I will mostly be fishing 3/8-1/2oz jigs, but will be throwing some 3/4oz as well. Most of my time i'll be pitching to laydowns and pencil reeds or fishing a deep weedline.

Re: Big swimjig rec and trailer

I'll second RIK recommendation on the NSCB Flip and Swim. These jigs are built to last. I have one particular jig that I fished all season and caught well over 150 fish with and its still tied on my rod ready to rock.

I usually add a Berkeley havoc grass pig or Keitech swimbait

I use my recon 715 for 3/8 and 1/2oz spinnerbaits and it works great.

Re: Quality brands for jigs, spinnerbaits, alabamas.

For jigs and spinnerbaits I personally only use NorthStar Custom Baits. Jigs are my "thing" and i went through numerous brands before landing on NorthStar. They have custom colors, technique specific jigs, hand tied skirts, and are competitively priced with jigs who offer far less in quality. As for...

Re: Most Versatile Jig?

Northstar Custom Baits flip and swim without a doubt. I use this jig to flip heavy cover, slow roll deep water, and everything inbetween. Plus its hand tied and built to last.

Re: Good jig options for small river fishing?

I've had great luck throwing hair jigs in the rivers up here in MN. Northstar custom baits makes a great handtied hair jig with a ball style head. Lots of jig weight options and custom colors. TW carries them as well.

Power pro and tracer braid for me. I use to use PP only, but I really liked the tracer after using it this year.
