Re: Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS...Guide Question

I'm on my second year with the Steez AGS 7'6 and use 10 lb braid with a leader. The guides are fine.

Re: Steel head Reel questions

That's completely different than the way we fish around here. I have a Morethan and it's a smooth reel. Basically a Steez A with brass gears and different aesthetics. I caught a 44'' musky flipping with it a few days ago and was solid. I'm sure it would handle a steelhead fine. One thing you may lik...

Rods with the 'it' Factor

You hear it a lot with fly rods, but there are always a few rods that are special within each lineup. What rods do you have that have that special 'it' factor?

7'6 MML Steez AGS - Tubes, drop and drag drop shot, spy baits, small swimbaits
852s NRX - Weightless senkos
893c NRX - light Texas rigs

I have a 2019 model on a 6'9 MXF rod that I use for light top waters. It casts a 1/4 oz pop r effortlessly.

Re: Steel head Reel questions

I have learned a ton in my few years here and am always looking for something new to try- Die hard salmon/steel head fisherman and unfortunately not much discussion about great reels and upgrades for these species as I understand most here to be bass or salt water guys. I have tried numerous reels ...

Re: Ultimate Drop Shot set up

How do you plan on drop shotting? There's vertical (video game fishing), drop shot with drag/swimming, and power shotting. This is what I use:

Vertical: GLX 820 DSR w/ Stradic CI4+ 2500
Drop Swimming: 7'6 MML Steez AGS w/ Exsence 3000
Power Shotting: 893 NRX w/ Morethan PE TW 8.6

Handle bushing and what's the bet one in the spool is a bushing over the exist.
They really put a bushing in the handle on a premium reel? Were they trying to make it saltwater capable like the Steez A?

Re: Longer ML spinning rod

Hi everyone I'm looking for suggestions on truly ml spinning rod. Currently I'm using Conquest 902 for my finesse fishing. It's nice for 1/8 shaky head + worm, jigs etc, but can't go lower with good distance. Looking for rod more than 7'. Is 7'6" Steez ags m/ml good for lighter applications? Other ...

Re: Rod Balance

Rod balance is always a major subject when new rods come out or when deciding to purchase a new rod. The reason I bring this up is because I'm curious, do you prefer a rod to be a bit tip heavy or would you rather weigh down the whole package to get a rod perfectly balanced? Its hard to balance rod...

Re: St Croix Legend & Avid

has anyone fished either of the Legend Tournament 8'6" models and can render an opinion? I have the 8'6 ML. It feels like they extended the butt section of the blank a foot to make it that length. Due to the length, it can really toss hair jigs. It's not the most sensitive rod in the world, but I d...

I got mine in the mail today and it feels like it was made for the Destroyer 110 Special. I just hope the line pick up is fast enough.

Re: 2019 Casting Lineup

I enjoy the side by side of the Morethan and IP68. The TD Zillion platform looks considerably wider than the Steez TW platform except near the front of the reel where the Steez TW is wider. The Tatula 100 appears to be surprisingly similar in size to the Steez TW. Good to know. I have a new Alpha C...
