Re: Orochi XXX

Anyone get their hands on a Black Elseil II yet? Would this be a good 110/Ito Shiner stick? I know they have the Oneten stick but I prefer something longer than 6'5" and more versatile. Thanks.

Re: Straight handle zpi ssrc : anybody still using these but

I like both but prefer the swept carbon handles. I'm sporting some straight handles on some of my Alphas and Zillions.

Re: Daiwa Warranty on Rods

Thanks guys. I will keep you updated. It is still under warranty and I have spoken to Daiwa before but they were vague on what they said they were going to do since they need to inspect the rod first.

Daiwa Warranty on Rods

Anyone have firsthand experience with Daiwa's rod warranty? I snapped my Light and Tough (discontinued) and was wondering if they just gave credit for the rod since they don't offer them anymore.

Re: Megabass Levante

So with special thanks to Gary at the Tackle Trap and Megabass USA, I am pleased to report that I have been issued a brand new, unblemished Levante Leviathan. MB USA covered the return shipping on the blemished rod. Gary made sure the connection to Megabass was very smooth and pleasant for me! Than...

Re: Spybait rod

I decided to grab some Duo spybaits and only throw them on bait cast gear. I bought the 90 size and they were a tad heavy for my ML rods. I had to go up to a MH rod. Going to grab the 80s soon.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

waiting for the blue spool for my Ryoga1016 is so painful. why did people have to buy the color i wanted!? If these spools are as good as they look, what's the point of spending 5x more  Too bad its like -27C* in canada and i wouldn't be able to try the spool even when i receive it. It's nice ...

Re: T3 ballistic spool problem

There are so many spool options that head and shoulders above the stock ballistic spool. The chinese air may be a great option, but if you want something with more line capacity I opt for the rcs1016. I used to have the ballistic and the stock spook was just ok. I put a 1016 in and it transformed i...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

I am in a discussion group which is created and regulated by the designer/manufacturer of these spools and parts (He is called Ray). For the release plan, the bulletin board of the group says: Spools: Shimano AMG; STEEZ; ALPHAS; PX68 in March; Star drag: Carbon star for Abu and Daiwa in May; Knob: ...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $39 for a BFS spool.

Just noticed, the same company has carbon handles as well and they do look nice. Now i want to try a 90-100mm handle for my PX68 SPR hah. i mean, this is so much cheaper than something like an RCS 90mm handle... I did hear some bad things about cheaper end carbon handles so i'm not 100% on this. ht...

People love to hate on the T3s :? :?
I have grown accustom to my two T3 1016s for pitching, so accustom that I try to close the hood on my non T3s. Need to try the T3 MX soon.
