Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

Didn't realize they changed much inside the new Alphas CT70. That being said, I wish they had offered an 8+ ratio. Just to compensate for the low IPT they changed the 5.8 to a 6.3, I figure because the 5.8 would be too slow and the 6.3 is the IPT of most 5 speed regular reels. This makes me wish th...

Re: Reel Selection

I sell reels all the time, I'd switch up rods more if they were cheaper to ship. I generally sell simply to try gear I haven't tried yet. Usually I'll sell between Shimano and Daiwa, sell off all Shimano's to try the latest Daiwa's then once I've tried them I'll sell the Daiwa's to try the latest Sh...

Re: All ready for some small stream trouting...

Can't wait to see the end results! Hard water is rare down here but winters are usually very wet making the small streams I like to fish a chocolate milk torrent. I've caught a few small fish out of some of the overflow ponds so far but need the rain to ease up to get any meaningful stream fishing in.

Re: Reel Selection

I sell impulsively, much the same way I buy. If I think about it too long, I talk myself out of it. Most often, if its not being used regularly, it goes on the chopping block. It has become a fun little sidenote to actually going fishing. I take a loss most times, much like a bad gambler lol! Yep, ...

Re: Steez A revisited...

What is the difference between the two ZPI spools: NRC001M vs NRC001PG ? On the ZPI website, the only difference I can see is that they recommend 10-14 lb fluoro for the M and 16lb fluoro for the PG. Why is this the case? What makes the Steez SV spool better in the Steez A than the stock Steez A sp...

Re: lines for bfs setups

NTSD, If you actually weigh the trout magnet, it is actually a bit heavier than 1/32. They advertise it as 1/64 but it is double that weight. Just FYI. 1/64 would be 0.44 grams. TM is easily over 1 gram. Some have measured 1.2 grams. I weighed 4 of my little pink trout magnets with gold jig heads o...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Very nice! Can you weigh the spool? The alphas ct is 9.4g with bearing. Reel weighed 151 grams and spool weighed 9.0 grams. It's a Target digital scale though... Awesome, sounds like the spool may be a tad lighter. I'll weigh mine once it gets here to confirm on the same scale. Reel looks pretty sm...
