Re: McCoy copoly

It’s a great line all I use to use before going braid to leader. It’s just a old line and not the popular fancy well marketed product compared to many. I keep debating just going back to it 100% such simplicity and less costly

Re: Kistler 2020 prices up!

They’d go for $500 plus if they offered a warranty in line with other companies. Still very nice rods just lacks in other aspects for the price

Re: New 2020 Shimano Metanium

Shimano US video. Aaron Martens brings up a subtle but good point, which will go past most non-Bantam owners...”Its warmer” My hands freeze with my Bantam in cold weather, even with gloves https://youtu.be/d-si3y2UXw4 Didn’t watch the vid but I bought 2 bantams for jigs and living up north I later ...

Re: Kistler 2020 prices up!

Ahh I didn’t take it that far. That’s a shame.

I have a few H3s that I bought early on that where later never offered. One being my favorite that later broke was a 76 light MH loved that rod. Still think any rod that breaks the $300 threshold should contain sic guides.

Re: Kistler 2020 prices up!

I’d feel a lot better if they included sic guides for the price increase.

Good news is they are offering a lot of length options. But they did that before also then before you knew it the options went away.

Re: NXR 873 vs 893

The metanium matches very well to the 893 as does the bantam.

Re: Megabass levante discontinued?

There was a manufacturing defect that caused them to be removed from the market. Shocked it took so long that at this posing they still are not available

Re: 7'6" Spinning Rods

Add the fact st croix doesn’t trim the reel seat threads. Which is a sin for a company like them.

Excess reel seat threes is a big no for me. To me that equals a unfinished rod

Re: St. Croix Legend Elite

I have a custom sc5mf and it’s an amazing blank and very capable. I was even skipping docks with it. It won’t be as sensitive as a loomis but you won’t miss anything it just has a different transmission of sensitivity. I also have 3 sc5 custom spinning rods one 76ml and 2 76m. Their my favorite spin...

Re: Sunline Xplasma Asegai

I've had 16 lb on my Steez CT SV for the season, and the coating has caused some dig in issues. I regularly use 10 - 15 lb braid on Daiwa & Shimano casting reels with no dig in issues. Just an observation. There's some fading on the light green, but I've had zero break offs. It's nice not having an...
