Re: Nice BC reel for Casting 1/4-1/2oz baits LONG DISTANCE

First, I'm not sure if a BC over a spinning reel is the overall best choice for distance with weightless 5-6" senkos. I bet those baits catch wind and I wonder how, say a small Shimano SVS Infinity braked reel handles that with some head wind? Not trying to bash, I'm asking cos I haven't tried one ...

Re: Cold Weather Cranks Top 7

I wish I had a great answer backed by proof and results but this is an area I want to get better at as well. My research leads me to 2 types of baits. The first is balsa made baits and the second is flat sided baits. Sometimes both if you can combine balsa with a flat sided bait. If you are are talk...

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

What size spool does this reel have? if it is 34mm has anyone tried swapping the spool into other platforms to verify how fitment is? I know not all 34mm spool and reels that accept said spool sizes swap nicely. For example swapping TDZ or OG Steez spools into a T3 was never a perfect fit.

Seems like the new Zillion is highly regarded. Might add that to your consideration list.

Re: Experience with 6th Sense Provoke?

It is one of my most productive baits. I have used one for most of last spring. Fishing around rocks and catching dozens of fish on the bait the paint still looks incredible. I love the finishes and the baits seem to be durable. Anything with the Shad scales is pretty good here. For the money you ca...

Re: So how are SV BOOST spools?

So 54 yards is the distance im aiming for with jerkbait and so my experience with the sv spool is that it achieved that but with the sv boost spool it surpassed that with ease. I understand everyone is going to use it differently but for my use, im satisfy with the sv boost. Jerkbait i use is duo r...

Re: Kistler Reels

What's so cringe about it? The idea that Shimano/Daiwa offerings, of any kind, are without flaws. As if God-almighty himself sent not only his son, but also the blessed hands that work in Shimano/Daiwa factories, to save us from our reel buying sins. That and I can give a laundry list of use cases,...

Re: Kistler Reels

Why? Because pretentiousness, sanctimony, and anecdotal dogma are ubiquitous throughout the largemouth bass fishing reel community. For a perfect example, see ...flawless Met MGL... And I’m the owner of 5 Metanium 2020 models. And reading statements like this make me cringe. Sounds like you should ...
