SHIMANO 300 & 400 TRANX, Curado replacement
I wonder if anyone has seen anything on the Curado 300 replacement ??
some of the Musky sites say that in March Shimano will release a New Tranx 300 and 400, that will replace the Curado 300 ?????

Re: Shimano Handle Options
ck out any Handles from the Shimano Curado 300 reels, they will fit your reel, just order from Shimano.

Re: Shimano Tranx for swimbaits?
300EXO Great reel for baits under 4-5 oz, ligh and very strong, 3 gear sets to pick from, drag is strong and smooth, cast control, set it and cast the reel.
Tranx is for Musky fishing or salt water, U do not need this reel for Bass Swim Baits. Look at the 300 or 400 D Calcutta

Re: need a tatula type r anti reverse bearing
RWSCHMITZ, I am kicking myself now! I ran across a catalog online somewhere with a complete line of AR bearings and I passed it up because I have never had a need for it. But I will look and see if I can find it again or other sources. I have an old reel I call my "Franken Reel" because it is compr...

Re: need a tatula type r anti reverse bearing
I forgot to mention, but when I went to shimano to price the AR bearings for my reels it was near $20.00 each. So I looked at the part with a magnifying glass and wrote down everything I found on the bearing and then went looking for that part outside of shimano. The same part- I can buy 10 of them...

Ceramic Bearing Lube
Which lube to U use and why on Ceramic Bearings ???
also which lube will last the longest in a Ceramic Bearing.
On S.Steel bearings I use TSI 301 which will make the S.Steel Bearing very fast and will last for months.

I'm another one that will say poppy-cock to this idea. The poster needs to smooth out his casting motion, become very consistent with that motion and stop throwing to the fences.

Re: Lews TP question
take your stock spool bearings and remove one shield and then clean them in a U.S. Cleaner then lube with TSI 301 Now your bearings are as fast as ceramics but not noisy, and they will stay lube for over 6 mths. Is that a proven method? YES been doing it for over 3 years. I have a reel repair busin...
