Have you tried the new Conquest 100 yet? If yes, tell me why you think 50 is better?

A lot of Shimano spools (100 or 200 size) can fit in other models BUT I would not do that cuz Shimano designs the spool for each model with a specific reason. You can ask Dan (aka Bantam1).
Spool can fit but it will defeat the original functions of the reel.

The new 100 is almost the same as the old 50 ... it casts a lot better.

I've been using Shimano reels on Gloomis rods ... cannot go wrong with these combos.
Their support is second to none.

One drop of oil should do it. Grease are little too much for the paw.
I use grease for gears only.

The G was still an improvement over the old SF model. It had the same features plus HEG and a higher max drag. I do not see this as a Curado light. We marketed the reel as a Curado which it is. Like usual you don't know what your talking about. Shimano is going to start importing JDM reels so yes there going to be mentaniums and Antares

They are totally two different reels. Even Curado 300E vs 200E are different in size, weight, feel, etc ...
What do U currently have and looking to buy?
