i hopefully could buy :reel abu cardinal 4x and rod - probably med power 7' phenix K2.
maybe look to sell my pool cues to pay some more on lawyer bills cause i'd have to be in deep trouble if i sold my fishing tackle-5 decades accumulation.

Re: Shimano reel names
i have never been willing to spend some of my time to decipher the ingenuity of the C14+ moniker. i do have 2 stradics, both 2000's of some series.

Outstanding!

Slazmo: "Really? Hold my rod."

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?
i use whatever seems appropo: casting, spinning, fly. i'm willing to throw an old black Zebco 33 i grabbed a while back or even my abu matic 170. i've even trolled. quality is my deciding factor. i don't like cheap or poorly designed gear.

is this you? LOL
a tidbit picked from a bamboo flyrod site
Here's a quote from Ernie Schweibert: "If you know how many rods you have, you don't have enough. (I don't subscribe to that, but I think it's knee-slapper)."

Re: Goin Loopy...
cool pics. for a nostagic challenge, show us some old, archaic lures, rods and reels. you know, the ones that have been collecting dust. empty out a crate, box, or two and shoot some pics.show the oldest, rarest, most favorite baits-not the most expensive. i would love to see what you have stashed b...

Re: Refreshed 13 concept reels
i've bought two refurbished items in about 20 years from retailers. a GPS(Magellan) and a handheld CB (pilot truck stop in Pa). Both useless. no more refurbished goods for me. they are not as good as new. i get a kick out of ebay listing when they say a rod has been retipped- a spiel to get around s...

Re: DC reels, opinions, techniques
