Re: American Tackle G2 Carbon Handles
I handled these at ICRBE - they are extremely nice. Didn't like the way my Tatula Elite sat on the reel seat as much as a Fuji PTS but otherwise these are sweet!

Re: Daiwa Kage
I haven't been on here in a while but to offer my $.02...
The rod balances nearly perfect with a Tatula Elite. I really can't ask for anything more in a MH all-purpose bass rod.

Re: Tatula Elite vs Curado K
Just took my first few casts with the Elite tonight. Initially, I like the K form factor better but the Elite seems to be as good or better caster. Will see how they fish side x side.

Re: KVD 1.5 Deep Diver
I am a big SK fan (used their baits since the 80's) but I am not crazy about the 1.5DD. I really want to love it but the Spro Fat Papa 55 is superior in every way from what I can tell. I am completely sold on the Fat Papa 55 if fish are over 5' deep but less than 10'.

Daiwa Kage
I know they are not available everywhere and many folks haven't handled them so I wanted to mention that I absolutely love mine. I have the 7'3" MH casting rod and it is the best value rod I've ever bought. Extremely sensitive, balanced, and very light. I'll probably have more...

Tatula Elite vs Curado K
I've used all versions of the Tat but the Elite and F/P...and I have the Curado K. For those that have used both...what is your experience? I really like the K but I'm interested in the Elite. I have tried the 100 and it was OK - nothing special. Will be used on a 7'3" MH Daiwa Kage for a versatile ...

Re: Falcon Cara Head Turner Casting Rod
I just bought two ALX rods...Ikos Promise 7 and Hustler. I haope these prove a worthy Lowrider/Cara replacement. If this goes well I will add a Toadface. Only drawback so far is I am not crazy about the reel seat. Would prefer an ECS to whatever it is but it is a clone...

Re: Lew's Tournament Pro - icast
I have a few days on the water with mine and have been very pleased. I even added another for cranking. Upgrading knobs to the Lew's EVA/cork for a thicker feel. These things cast GREAT.

Re: Lew's Tournament Pro - icast
I know this is an older post but I just picked up one of these because it felt good in the store...I had enough BPS gift cards that I only spent $8 cash to walk out with it. I'm very impressed. I've tried several Abu's (Gen2 STX) and Lew's in the past (including BB1 Pro) and this reel fishes very we...

I'll second that with lotion.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 3:09 pmI've been using it off and on for around 2-3 years now, its excellent line, the yellow is smoother and seems to not flake off like the green does.
If P-Line would just make some yellow in 10lb I would be all over it....

Re: Falcon Cara Head Turner Casting Rod
I was a Falcon rod nut (at one point). I still have several. The Lowrider XG was my first Falcon rod (6'8" MHMF). Still my favorite rod ever. I even had both sizes of the original FTO tackle bags. Here is my observation on the Cara line: I had several Cara's and then moved on to the T7's. I loved th...

Fat Pappa 55...hands down the best all-around crank I have ever tied on. Works from hot to cold. Don't forget the 6A Bomber though - out of fashion but catches fish.

Re: Phenix Feather
I have tried hard to like these rods - that said I HATE the reel seat. I don't care what reel I put on them they hurt my hands.

Re: Phenix Feather
Can anyone tell me how the Recon Elite rods compare to the Feather? Specifically, does the Recon Elite 7'1"H balance fairly well and have roughly the same taper? Putting a Curado K on it...
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Phenix Feather
I have a 7'7" Heavy and I wouldn't go over 3/4 on a T-rig. Overloads it to me. I can absolutely bomb baits with this thing in the yard...haven't fished it yet. Trying to decide if I want to drop down to the 7'3" XH because I wanted it for pitching and I like a stout rod for hauling fish from wood.
