Hopefully something with HEG gears in it and get rid of the crappy micros. What reels with micro gears have given you trouble? None, cause I dont own them, other than my CQ100. But that is too new yet, and have only used it a few times. But have changed tons of gear sets on Ks, Aldes, Mets with MM ...

Shimano Curado 50E. Small, built well, great braking system, good drag, holds plenty of line, killer paint job, and a ton of options to mod. Oh, and I have one.

looks identical to the BPS Bionic Plus which is a chineasium SVS brake system Could be. If Kistler produces a schematic then we'll see for sure. BPS shows one for the Bionic. The brake assembly looks way different based on a review photo. Anyway, it seems odd that BPS would allow a potential compet...

They may be good, they may not be. More than likely a Banax design. But I wanted to chime in with a :lol: , for all the Daiwa/Shimano superior guys. Doyo makes a fine product, and they also make some not so. But hey, so does Daiwa and Shimano. Ill take my BPS JM Platinum Signature reel over a Curad...

15 and 17 Scorpions are based on the "i" series reels by Shimano. The 15 being the regular braking system, and the 17 being the DC (Digital Control) braking system. The 19 is based on the "k" series reels, which is what is currently being produced.

You are gonna hold more line on the Scorpion than you are the Curado. If you are using thin lines, and light baits...Curado. Otherwise, go for the Scorpion.

Even Daiwa and Shimano are offshoring some of the manufacturing. I never heard of a Shimano reel which is not produced by Shimano. Can you please show an example? I was under the impression that Shimano is the only reel company that completely makes their own reels. They dont make all of the parts ...
