Re: 2020 Zodias rod with carbon monocoque grip

Why all the red????
I wish they would have made it all black. Or maybe with a little silver accent.
Too much red for my liking.
The new design looks kinda like my first generation poison adrenas, but with alot more red.

Re: NRX 854c vs Megabass FMJ

The core 50s might not balance too well on those rods.
I can't speak for the NRX but I know it won't be balanced on the FMJ.
The FMJ needs a heavier reel to feel good.
With the core 50 the FMJ will be very tip heavy.

Re: New 2020 Shimano Metanium

From the picts, it looks like a cross between the bantam mgl and chronarch mgl.
I hope it palms better than the chronarch because I didn't like how that reel palms.
The bantam palms fine to me though.

Re: New Ray's DIY handle

I've used the regular Ray's Studio CF handles and they seem pretty nice. No issues so far with them. In fact, most of their stuff is way better than some of the other junk on Ali Express. To each their own, but I'm not crazy about this particular handle design. If it's from Ray's studio, its probabl...

I think it would work well for smaller jigs.
I use mine for T-rigs.

Re: Basszone handle knobs

You could use a drop of blue lok tite to keep the screw in place once you get the play out of the knobs. Once dried it should keep the screw from backing out.

Re: New Stradic

I have the 1000 HG.
It's a decent reel, if your in the market for another reel.
If not, then I would just stick with the stradic CI4+.
I still like my CI4+ reels better.

Re: old core 50 and aldebaran or new

I like both versions.
I have two core 50mg7, two aldebaran mg7.
Also a Aldebaran 50HG, Aldebaran 50, two Aldebaran 30HG.
I use them interchangeably.
The older 50E body feels more solid but the newer Aldebarans are crazy light.

Re: Shimano Cardiff Upgrades

Did you ever finish your upgrades?
I would also recommend getting a longer handle.
I hate the short handles that come on those reels.

Re: Shimano ch100 side plate stuck

Had to spray it with WD40 over and over and let it sit for several days. Finally got it off but not without chipping part of the turning tab off. There was some rust on the brake race but I didn't see any corrosion on the threads for the side plate turn daily. Sanded the rust off and cleaned the sid...

Re: How do you like you’re aldebaran mgl 50?

I have two MGL 30 hg, regular 50 and 50HG. They all feel the same in smoothness. I'm not throw super finesse lures with mine so I can't say how it would be with really light lures. I have one 30 mgl on a 6'10" expride for regular sized top water and jerkbaits. Another 30 mgl on a 6'8" med black cuma...

Shimano ch100 side plate stuck

I have an older ch-100a with a left side plate turn key dual that won't budge. I'm afraid to put to much torque on it because it might break.
What's the best way to get the turn key dial to turn so I can get the left side plate off.
It the original silver chronarch 100a.
