Agreed, but maybe the sensitivity will outperform its dull looksjustgopen wrote:Meh, these rods look way too plain, boring. The IMX-Pro looks like a better fit for the new Curado's.

Re: First Look Inside the New Shimano Curado K Series Baitcasters
Does the thumb bar now sit a little lower? I liked my Chronarch CI4, but would occasionally trigger the thumb bar as I was jigging. In these pictures, it looks like the thumb bar is much more compact and in line with the frame of the reel, something that should prevent these misfires for me. Pic on...

Re: [kroe-nark] : Casting Reel ... 1. must have
I read the review hours after it posted, great review. Just wondered about the lower end of the casting range. TT had a nice write up on lower weight baits in the Zillion TWS vs Chronarch Ci4+ test... Was really hoping to see what the light weight casting abilities of the MGL, and how easily the br...

Re: [kroe-nark] : Casting Reel ... 1. must have
A review already? Did shimano give you a prototype? Nope... we don't write full reviews on prototypes. If they had sent us one, it would have been a preview or insight article. I sourced my first one from JapanTackle.com ... second one was from TackleWarehouse.com 8-) So you did your review in 2 we...

Re: Shimano’s Sleek Curado 70 - Smaller, Faster, Better
Good review, but I think the lack of power "feel" comes down to the thin lightweight handle combined with the smaller knobs. When I swapped the handle on the curado 200i with a lighter/thinner carbon one and smaller core 50 knobs it "felt" less powerful on the retrieve.

Re: Fulfill Your Destiny With Shimano's 2015 Metanium DC
Almost exactly what I expected. I'm 99% sure mine came with a reel cover. I wonder if he just misplaced his or it wasn't included for some reason. I recently fully respooled mine with 30lb slick 8 (had a 3/4 spool of 50lb before). I am curious to see if cast distance will improve significantly up t...

Re: Shimano Re-Ignites Their Shining Star : The 2015 Aldebar
Totally spot on review though with BFS tackle 1/8 oz is easily achievable. I agree. As always, some 1/8 oz baits are easier to throw than others... Spoons, spinners, crankbaits, no sweat. I was getting good distance with the rapala ultra light minnow 4. My brother has been recommending that bait as...
