I have one of these rods and love it! I always lean toward a lighter action rod anyway. Until this one, my favorite was a Kistler Carbon Steel 6'6" inshore casting rod. These two rods have a very similar action.

Casting distance can be very important when fishing for spooky fish in super clear water like we have in this part of Arkansas.BigG wrote:Casting distance isn't important unless your buddy is reaching the school fish before you can.
