Re: An Understated Victory for St. Croix Rods

I thought the same thing. Somewhere between 0.8 and 1.5pe braid would be more appropriate, conventionally.

Re: Cast Control Unlike Any Other: 13 Fishing Launches the Innovative Z SLIDE Baitcaster

The only time I touch my mag dial is when it's moved itself from where I set it due to Daiwa's daft placement of the dial, right where my hand rests, so it gets adjusted accidentally.

Looks like a great feature for catching your line on when you get a backlash. Hope it works better than it looks.

Loomis and St Croix both have a talent for producing horrible spinning rod handles. Luckily, you can buy St Croix blanks.

If it had been lying in a damp rod locker the dampness can get into the clearcoat. It usually dries out when taken out of the locker though and should go back to normal.

I look forward to someone using the bushing material for trailer bearings, sounds like it would make perfect maintenance free bearings!

The line lay on your spool is abysmal too. I suspect you have bigger issues with the reel.

Re: Line doesn't enter line roller slit? Stradic fk 1000hg.

I bet the bail wire is bent. Try bending it so that the bail angle to the roller is slightly sloping toward the roller. If the plastic is grooved though, you might need to replace it as it will probably continue to catch. Fishing very light, low resistance baits requires an extra level of attention ...

Re: NRX Issue

If the insert isn't cracked or broken, just loose, then I bet a drop of superglue would secure the insert. The glue will be drawn into the gap and make a decent bond. Never heard of a loose insert before that wasn't broken, but I expect it can happen.

Re: Introducing Sunline's New P-Ion Assassin FC

Interested to read that you thought that cloudiness FC develops with use is due to sunlight. I always assumed it was the line developing micro fractures as a result of stretching or abrasion.
