Re: Don't be Fooled, Here's the Deal on Shimano's Exsence DC
I would love to see this in the US as well. Of course, it would probably have a different name and a deeper spool (120 yds of 12 lb would be perfect), but that's fine.

Don't forget the tatula/R!USA-RET wrote:Great Review.![]()
Wouldn't a Concept A/ Curado I "shoot-out" be interesting? Going strictly off the specifications, the Concept A seems to offer quite a bit vs. the competition.

Re: Welcome Back Shimano : The 2013 Metanium
After looking closely at both the Antares & met... They seem to have a lot in common. They seem to have all the same features, same micro gearing, same line capacity, share the same 7.4:1 gear ratio in the hg model. Main gear material is different, and different gear ratios, but... The met is s...

Wonder how a shoot out between the Metanium vs. Steez would go? if only to see what an extra $200 buys in the way of features and performance w/ a Steez.![]()

Re: Daiwa Completes Their Suite with the Tatula Casting Rods
The sensitivity is very good IMO. I can feel everything from a brush pile to rocks to even gravel on the bottom, even from 30-40+ yards out. I have not caught anything on it yet, but I am sure there will be no trouble feeling for that jig thump or texas rig bite. :D The review is also very accurate ...

The balance on the 7’1 MH x-fast rod is perfect. Just an inch or so above the reel seat locking nut.
Hogsticker, I think it is time that you give one of these a try..

Re: 13 Fishing Gears up to Launch New Baitcasting Reels
Did 13 give the TT crew a few of the concept reels to test out?
If so, I can't wait to see that review!
Also, can you give me a time frame of when the tatula rod review will be up? Looking forward to that one as well.
Great tackle reviews and great tackle lately!

Re: Daiwa Tatula Type R - Worth the Upgrade?
I think the difference in drag measurement is due to the difference in design between the two reels. The Tatula uses a spring/nut that screws on the drive shaft beneath the drag star. The Type R doesn't use this same spring system, but a series of washers that fit into/under the clicking mechanism....

Re: Daiwa Tatula Type R - Worth the Upgrade?
Nice review, but one thing. How do u know that is in grams, the picture doesn't indicate what unit is being measured. that is 10.4 in dwt units. I just measured my type r spool and got 0.57 ounces. Changed the units to dwt and u get 10.4 dwt. It's 16.1 grams not 10. Don't want anyone to be misinfor...
