Are the new omens that are fast action a bit slower than the old omens? I found that my 7'1 mh omen is as fast as many extra fast action rods, which might be good for some techniques but I'd rather have the action be slower to be more viable as an all around rod.

The zillion only has 1 spool pin slot in the pinion iirc. This means it is stronger, but takes a marginally more amount of rotation to engage.

I have passed this along to our QC guy. Of the reels I inspected I cannot duplicate the issue. Did you try backing off the cast control and opening/closing the side plate? This should remedy the issue. tried that many times... didn't work... the plastic shim under spacer b as suggested by one user ...
