Re: replacing recoil guide on NRX

Matching the thread color is the hard part. I have 3 spools of thread, all the same color of the same brand they used from the factory, and all are slightly different and don’t match perfectly. Close enough for me, but I know some on here would have a problem with it. I’d send GLoomis an email or as...

Re: Chronarch MGL

This sounds like a Xship bearing(could also be pinion but it would always make noise) issue with the way you described it. Louder buzz when more load is put on the bearing from using bigger baits. Cheap easy fix if that’s the case.

Re: Spinning rod for throwing LC Pointer 78?

Conquest 842 is basically what you are wanting when compared to NRX 842. If the NRX was a 2 power, Conquest would be a 2.5 as it has more a little more power. Hopefully the new version is similar. Didn’t like the K2 compared to the MBR tapers since I don’t like moderate rods for jigs/plastics, but t...

Re: Spinning rod for throwing LC Pointer 78?

I use my Conquest 842c for all jerkbaits between 1/4-1/2oz. Throw the shallow Pointer 78 a lot. Sounds like NRX might be bringing back MBR models, so it might be worth the wait for a 782/3, if they make it.

Re: Thank you Shimano

Shipping has definitely tested many peoples patience this year. Little things like this mean a lot in times like this though. Sure wasn’t expecting it that quickly, and helps remind me of one reason why I’ve used Shimano for so long.

Re: Shimano Cumara Reaction Rods

I thought it made a great Shad Rap and RC 0.5 rod. Light cranks with small hooks. That’s about it though

Anyone still fishing the spinning rods?
Those reel seats/handles were sweet with the carbon tube. Shimano used to do some cool things with their spinning grips, like the notched foregrip on the old Crucials and Compres that allowed the index finger to touch the blank.

Re: Shimano Cumara Reaction Rods

Agree on the 7’6”, should have made it a 7’ ML and a 7’6” MH. Also really like the 6’9” MH/XF spinnerbait rod. Mainly use 843’s now, but it has caught a lot of fish and has a great action, definitely not XF. 7’ H/MF is my favorite from the series though. Felt like a fast action rod until you hook u...

Thank you Shimano

Hey Bantam, Just wanted to say thank you to Shimano for going above and beyond to help out! Parts order got lost with FedEx, and after getting no answers from FedEx, I sent Shimano an email to see if they could help. Couple days later, UPS was delivering my package. Wasn’t even expecting an answer b...

I have pretty much the whole series sitting in my rod rack. Still use the 7’ M, MH and H cranking rods on a regular basis.

That’s not allowed in FL  I have seen a few wearing socks with flip flops, but that only happens in Alabama  Socks with Crocs seems to be getting popular though
