Re: Straight Shimano handle options
I’ve used the spacers that Bryan provides at the Tackle Trap to install Chronarch MGL 90mm handles on my Chronarch 51E and Scorpion 1001XT and has worked out great for me.

Re: All purpose spinning rod
I have the Addermine as well as several St Croix spinning rods from Avids to Extremes, and have used a few Loomis including GLX. The Addermine to me is going to be a great general purpose spinning rod, and that’s exactly how I use it. Can’t compare it to the new XX Shakeyhead for you.

Re: Zillion SV TW or Chronarch MGL for jig reel
I have 3Chronarch CI4s, a Chronarch MGL, and a couple Zillion SV TWs. I have less miles on the Zillions, but at this point I prefer them to the MGL. I actually find it easier to dial in my CI4s then the MGL, and I know I’m in a minority here. But I’d go Zillion at this point, aluminum frame, about t...

Re: Sub 250.00 reel
Another vote for the Zillion SV TW here. Great performing solid reel. I’m considering grabbing another one at the current prices. If they are phasing it out or replacing I’m afraid I won’t like the new model.

Re: Megabass Destroyer Addermine vs G Loomis NRX 852S JWR
What size Senko sir ? 5" I have a F2.5 XXX Black Themis and while I know the power-levels are not super consistent across different lines, I am thinking/hoping the F3.5 Addermine should have the power needed for them. I throw 5” weightless senkos on my Addermine with 8lb test Tatsu, no problem. Rod...

Re: Tatula SV casting distance.
No complaints on casting distance with my Tat SV or my Zillion TW SVs. They all have aftermarket properly lubed spool bearings installed and I’m happy. I expected and appreciate the control they provide, and still get the distance I need. What type of bearings? Tat SV has HH ZR bearings, and was su...

Congrats and enjoy, it’s a really awesome stick. I predict it won’t be your last Helium 3.WannaGoFishing wrote:Thanks for all the input and feedback, which really played into my decision. Placed an order for the 7’ Helium LMH-F earlier today.

Re: Kistler Helium3 vs Megabass Orochi vs St Croix LTB
If you’re throwing mostly chunk trailers on 1/4 & 1/2oz jigs you can easily get away with the LMH-F H3 Kistler. I’d stay away from trailers like Mag Rage Structure Bugs as those weigh almost 1/2oz by themselves and would put you just over the 7/8oz max recommended lure weight. I don’t like my MHXF ...

Re: Kistler Helium3 vs Megabass Orochi vs St Croix LTB
I have the Gen1Tour Versatile, I have a H3 MH/XF and LMH/F, and a LTB MHF as well as M/XF. That 1/2 oz jig to me is the problem with one rod for that range of baits. The original TV is a heavy powered rod, too heavy for anything on your list but the 3/8 oz or 1/2 jigs, unless your chucking 1/2-1 oz ...

Re: JDM Tatula SV TW
Slap some HH ZR bearings in the Tatula SV when it arrives to really open it up. After a tuning by Bryan and putting in the ZRs mine bombs 1/4 oz cranks on a gen 1 Orochi XX Flatside Special with great control.

Re: Daiwa Zillion SV TW
Need a little clarification. Are these the same reels, with the "domestic" version available only in 6.3.1 and 7.3.1, and the "JDM" version available in the same ratios plus 5.5.1 and 9.1.1: It appears they are. I used the 7.3.1 version last weekend at Clear Lake, via the Tackle Warehouse demo prog...

Re: Daiwa Zillion SV TW
Another great thing about the Zillion SV TW is that if you order JDM online you can get a lefty in a 5.x gear ratio! Then if you need more line capacity you can easily swap in an RCS 1016 or other deeper spool option.

Re: Levante Spinnerbait Special, Super Orochi XXX?
Great score, love that rod for square bills! At that price it’s a killer deal. Now can I justify adding the Ronin to my already full rod rack?
