The SV 103H is a good candidate, if you can find one now.
+1 on this...my go-to reel for chatterbaits and swim jigs.

Re: Crankbait reel

Which do you prefer between the two? (Bantam or chronarch mgl). I just got my first bantam on Sunday and boy does that ever feel like a nice reel. I don’t want to spend that much right now that’s why I was looking st the curado K or chronarch mgl again. It sounds like for the dt6’s the bantam would...

Re: Crankbait reel

I've traditionally been a Daiwa guy, but the last couple of years have been adding more and more Shimano to my stable. For squarebills, I'm using the new Bantam. For things like Rapala DT6s, a Chronarch MGL. I had the Concept C and loved it at first as it would flat out launch baits when paired with...

Have a few packs...haven't fished them yet.

The fact that no one has replied to this yet leads me to believe people are killing it with these. Just a hunch.

Re: Help with a baitcaster

You are correct on all counts. The Tat CT frame is easier to palm vs the OG Tat frame, and the Fuego CT is the same as the Tat CT minus the T-Wing. Both are really great reels for the $, but the Fuego CT at $65 (on that auction site) is about the best deal on a solid reel that you will find anywher...

Re: Concept C worth the $?

O.k., I have necro'd this thread to echo some other sentiments. I have no sold my last 13 reel. In the end, even with regular maintenance, it just felt like it was on a continued path of deterioration. Cast amazing when new, but could be fickle with wind. Did what I should have done in the first pla...

Re: Dialing In a Curado DC

I think there *could* be something up with these reels as most people are having to tighten them down more than the instructions say. Mine works as it should with setting the tension just tight enough to stop side-to-side play. The other part of the equation, I think, is a mass perception that these...

Spinning or casting, it's the GYCB Fat Ika for me. So much confidence.

Strike King Rage Menace Grub.

The way the twin tails kick, I can't help but play the Jaws theme in my head every time I retrieve it.

Re: Concept C worth the $?

Of the three 13 Fishing reels I bought, the C is the only one I still have. I have pretty much dedicated it to throwing smaller cranks, like the Rapala DT6. I think the breaking can be a bit finicky at times, with 2 not being enough and 3 being too much, so there is a bunch of fiddling with the cast...

Re: Curado K

I've always been a Daiwa guy, but lately I have been buying a ton of Shimano...guess it's just another phase I'm going through. :D Anyway...I have a K and can say I like it much better than the I...feel smoother, yet more connected to me. Palms great and no issue with the breaking system. Great jig ...

Re: 13 fishing concept reels

I have an A and a C and feel the C is more refined, but the A might just be the best bang for the buck. I found the braking system took a bit to get used to, but once you do, it's as good as anything else out there. The C model paired with a Kistler KLX 7' crank, rip, n twitch flat out launches Rapa...
