Re: Micro Power Pole

I have a micro on my kayak. It’s something you don’t think is that important until you have it, and then you can’t fish without it. Reliability has been decent, I have gotten around 2 years out of one before it breaks and their great customer service sends me a new one. That’s well over 400 trips w...

Re: Skipping with baitcasters.

Skipping when done right looks very effortless. I love to watch JBF skip on their blogs I agree on watching skipping videos of people that really know what they are doing. I will say that I have caught a grand total of 1 LM Bass when skipping a dock. LOL I was really proud of myself when I did it. ...

Re: Skipping with baitcasters.

Let’s bring this post back from the dead. I finally learned how to skip (unweighted worm) a while back with my 16 Aldebaran BFS XG. I was excited to say the least. I learned how to skip in my pool. What I didn’t anticipate is skipping in a pool ain’t even close to skipping in a drifting boat i...

Micro Power Pole

I searched the word Micro and the last post about the Micro Power Pole was almost 3 years ago. I’m thinking about getting one for my 15’ Jon because it’s cheaper than an Ultrex and manually dropping an anchor is getting old fast. How do you like the MPP? Is reliability an issue?

Re: First BFS Baits

The Strike King Bitsy Minnow is a great little crank as are the UL Series from Rapala. Keitech Easy Shiners thrown on a 3/32oz Keitech Super Round Jig Head is also great. The Megabass Siglett is a great 3/16oz top water lure as is the 3/16oz Megabass Baby Pop X. Unweighted plastics such as the Zoom ...

Re: 2020 Shimano Twin Power FD

I just got got a Twin Power 2500SHG and I have to say that I love it. I have been pretty much nothing but High End BFS for years and this spinning reel experience with my new Twin Power has been great. Buttery smooth and beautiful is what I can say about it. Now I need equivalent JDM rod to pair it ...

Re: BFS Fluoro vs Braid Pros and Cons

Personal preference. I only use braid for my pricey top water plugs. I made the mistake of trying to switch up and use 4LB Yo Zuri Hybrid for this and I lost a Siglett because of it. I know that I would have got it back if I was using braid. For anything that goes underwater, I use Sniper FC.

Re: A new pride and joy

Very nice. An ARMS is the only Megabass rod that I would want to own. =D> X2. I'm your huckleberry  Beautiful combo, congratulations!! If I did get one, I would definitely get one from The Tackle Trap. I did buy a 6’3” Kirisame BFS rod from you that I regretfully sold. If I ever bought an ARMS...

Re: Your ideal BFS rod action?

I have never owned an XF UL rod but I do have a F so I wold say fast.

I'm assuming that you are talking about bass rods and not the whippy trout rods.

Re: BFS and Trout baitcast combos

Very tasty treats =D> I agree. Hmm Fenwick is a reappearing guest - I will have to look into those rods esp. if any of them are moderate/moderate-fast action suitable for treble hook moving baits. In my experience, all of the UL or L powered BFS rods that I have used are suitable for lures with tre...
