That's a funny way of spelling Fuji EZ Keeper.

893. The 873 CRR is a more powerful rod.

Re: Megabass 2023 Orochi X 10 rods
I'm also highly considering the Bandersnatch or the Super Destroyer. Looking for an all around rod capable of 1oz baits. I need versatility to throw a buzzbait, spinnerbait, swimjig, and in pinch bottom contact. P5 Super Destroyer should be it if you can deal with the length; one of those rods that...

Topwater for me as well, Duo Pencil or a Gunfish. Lately I've also been pulling out a silent LC 1.5 in Ghost Baby Bluegill when things aren't going to plan.

Re: It’s 2018, why are you buying reels from the past
Picked up the new Zillion finally. Stock spool pitches almost as well as a PG out of the box. New bearings might bring it up to par. Impressive. Drag seems a bit weaker than expected but the clicker is neat. New Bantam landed as well but I haven't had it out yet. Current crop of new reels look pret...

Re: NRX+ 854 vs 894
Probably going to be hard to upgrade an OG FMJ if you want to stay at 7'1. There's always the 844 in the NRX+ if you dig the MBR taper.

Deeper spool for '16 Zillion SV?
So I threw a 6" Magdraft on the stock spool this Spring with 16 lb. Sniper and for Fall I'd like to both move up to 18 lb. and get a little more line capacity. I have a PG spool but that's still low on 18 lb. capacity. I was looking at the 1016 G1 spool from Japan Tackle. Any recommendations? Or sho...

Re: Shorter MH/H
P5 Super Destroyer is your rod. It excels at the techniques you mentioned. It's also a very good caster for being a shorter rod.

I chose 71H Valkyrie over BMG as a Magdraft stick. So far, very happy. Thanks Gary

Re: Got Smoked
I object to drum being called trash fish, even though it's common. Big river drum fight like hell. What sort of Keitech do yours eat? Ours up here enjoy a Baby Rage Craw on a football shakeyhead. Do you have sturgeon? We do have sturgeon, but very rare. Weird you say that, was just talking to my da...

Re: New Shimano high end baitcasting reel?
Daiwa spool sizes used to make some sense. Iirc, 1016 spool was 100m of 16 lb (.33 mm diameter). 1012 was then 100m of 12 lb, and so on. For three digit codes, 100, 103, and 105 were progressively shallower and I believe pretty consistent capacity wise across reels.

Re: Spool bearing stuck in metal sleeve
Update: VICTORY Threw it in a drawer for near two years while work consumed me (avoid the golf industry). Popped it out literally two days ago after I stuck a hobby file in the bearing and used the edge of my workbench as leverage to hold the sleeve in place while I pushed the bearing out. It was no...

Nice review. The 4" fits well on a 3/0 Flashy Swimmer. Killer bait.
