Re: Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner

I bought it second-hand at a junk store. Theres no nomenclature on it at all. I assume its just a cheapo, made in China product. It has a snap-on lid and and removable cup/liner, with suction cup feet, and runs on 3 AA baterries. Something like this? https://www.amazon.ca/Frequency-Vibration-Cleane...

Re: Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner

I use a small battery powered vibration-type cleaner. I use 91% isopropyl alcohol for cleaning solution, then dry them on a towel with a hair dryer. Ive only had one bearing change from "good" to "bad" with a cleaning. I suspect that it was already bad, and I only removed the crud from the pits in ...

Re: Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner

Oh no, I was not aware. I will stop using ultrasonic cleaner for the bearings. Are there any other parts I should be careful of? I throw everything except the frame, side covers, and handle assembly in there. This is the ultrasonic cleaner I have: https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-MGUC500-Profession...

Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner

I noticed that sometimes when I put a bearing (hybrid ceramic most of the time) in an ultrasonic cleaner, it comes out with a rough feel after a 5-6min session. I mostly do this to aliexpress bearings (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001305143660.html). I only use plain water + dawn dish soap in...

Re: New vs old Orochi XX tour versatile F6-70XX

Right now im jsut trying to look for an exact replacement. 7ft H/MF rated up to 1.5oz. I know majorcraft makes rods in this spec, but I want a slightly more refined rod than what they offer. The only other megabass rod i know that has this is the destroyer x7 diablo fastmove, which is nearly impossi...

New vs old Orochi XX tour versatile F6-70XX

I just noticed the new tour versatile is rated to 1oz instead of the 1.5oz that it used to be. Does this mean the rod has gone down in power? or is this just a label thing. I want to replace my old TV, would the new one be an exact replacement?

Re: STEEZ A/DAIWA MORETHAN DIFFERENCE

Im fairly sure morethan has a shallower spool than steez A, most seabass baitcasters like the excense DC has shallow spool meant to be used with light braid. I could be wrong, but morethan holds 200m of 0.205mm line (200m of 1.5 gou line, which is 0.205mm) , steez a holds 100m of 0.33mm (says 100m o...

When you reel it? but the spool and the shaft doesnt even spin. Do you mean when you peel the drag and the spool spins?
