Re: Purple Alphas 103L

So, I stripped the Drive Shaft on my Alphas and now that I need to replace it, I believe I have the following two (2) options (please correct me if I’m wrong - or - if other options exist): 1) Use the Drive Shaft from the TD SOL-L and call it a day 2) Use the Drive Shaft from the SV105HSL --- and a...

Re: Tackle Trap Alphas/SOL/Zonda clicking star drag conversi

I have upgraded my Alphas and Pixies with parts bought from Tackle Trap. I live in Australia and they ship overseas. Ask them. They are very friendly. Shipping is not cheap though - they use Priority Mail International instead of cheaper but slower First Class. The drive shaft for clicker is whisker...

Re: Tatula handle nut plate options

A few more options. Order the "small" size retainer from TackleTrap. It comes in gold, red, and one other color. Hedgehog studio cuts the hole larger in their retainers to fit a number of Daiwa reels. I had no idea a Shimano would fit. Did not even think about that. I have a few lying around. Gonna...

Re: Basszone Carbon Handle?

Daiwa knobs will fit Basszone handle. I have a few set up including a Fuego and Zillion. My only advice for the TDZ (and Fuego) is, if you want to keep the original drag knob, get a handle collar that sits on top of drag knob. Without the collar, the handle sits too deep you won't have room to loose...

Re: Tatula handle nut plate options

Thanks for confirming guys. I should order a few small retainers for my second Tatula and the future 3rd.
Glad that my babies can wear Daiwa parts. :D

@fishingandfords, I may have to replace my Scorpion XT1501 plastic nut retainer with Daiwa retainer

Re: Tatula handle nut plate options

Elongating the hole in the plate is a great idea but unfortunately I am using the Tatula stock screw which has small head. I don't have any larger headed screw :( It's good to know that Shimano plate fits. Do they come in one size? Or do I have to get a certain size/model reel? Many thanks Just the...

Tatula handle nut plate options

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you having fun. Like many of you, I don’t like plastic nut cap of Tatula. I want it changed to a metal nut and plate like Zillion. I checked if Zillion plate fits but it doesn't. I even thought of drilling a hole but the hole gets too close to the existing as seen from...

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty

I suggest a new survey with the three choices: right, left, or either. The survey results will more accurately reflect the bass fishing population that is active here on TT, and I presume that the TT population would be, on average, on a much higher level than the overall population of bass anglers...

I am right handed and wind with left if I am using lefty. But I cast with left if I am using righty ... ;)

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?

I had so much grief with Shimano reels :x ... I didn't burn them though.
I am much happier since I switched to Daiwa :D
