Re: Shimano Cumara Reaction Rods

agree on the 7'6 med light i wanted to like it but it was very soft i lost quite a few big smallmouth on that rod because it couldn't get a good hook in them even with crankbaits

Re: Shimano Cumara Reaction Rods

i have the 7'7" fast action reaction rod and really like it a lot. its a fantastic open water chatterbait rod and great with traps around grass i wish shimano would revamp these for sure.

Re: Anyone try the 7’4” heavy poison adrena

i have owned this model for a bit and its pretty versatile ive thrown footbabll jigs , tx rigs, chatterbaits, large topwater walkers and ploppers and mag draft 6 with the exposed treble hook at the bottom. the tip is softer with all the power in the mid to lower section of the blank. shimano has it ...

Re: NRX 893 v ZBone

i have a few nrx 893s in my line up and they are one of my favorites out of the series for lighter bottom contact. i feel that rod is also a bit more sensitive than my 894 nrx due to the 893s springy tip that it has. Last year i tried some of the new z bones on the x ray blank and one of them was th...

Re: New Curado 70 mgl K

Re: Old School GLX (pre 2012) vs. Today's Rods

honestly they still hang in there with today's offerings i feel. they were and still are very sensitive and a great rod to use. they even felt better balanced than all the split grip stuff out today. I suppose if you hated recoils they would get a con but other than that great sticks. i feel like th...

Re: Xray Taper

i had the 7'6 mh z bone x ray a while back and it wasn't like a crankbait taper really. In my hands it was more of a fast taper at the end of the day. I used it for bottom contact stuff and probably wouldn't throw a crankbait on the x ray rods. Maybe the medium it was a bit softer as i had the 7'3 m...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

i'm in a dilemma with these rods i have two sv 103s that i want to get rods for and am gearing towards the destroyer p 5s. im in need of a good dock rod so im thinking the super destroyer would be good for pitching and skipping jigs ? ( have never fished a super destroyer in any og megabass line). a...
