Re: Megabass F5st-611X7 BearingDown Type X
I currently have this rod and I don't feel comfortable using it with moving baits. I always feel like the tip is going to snap on me as it is so soft and flexible. The transition is extremely fast from tip to backbone. I use it mainly for light jigging. I just bought it for the oracle dragon on the ...

Re: Daiwa Luvias vs Shimano Stradic
I have the Luvias 2510 PE. It is very smooth, way smoother than the Shimano in my opinion. It is light for a Daiwa spinning reel and has a slight plastic feel to it. I would not classify it as a heavy duty reel as my Certate is way more solid and has less flex. I would pick it over the Shimano. In f...

Re: Major Craft MS-X and MS-X Limited differences?
I have the MSX Limited. I believe the only difference is that the limited has torzite guides - the only reason I bought it was for the torzite guides.

Re: Best way to strip guides on a rod?
Thanks guys. Looks like I'll have to try a little heat then. Never had this issue in the past, but with this Megabass rod, the epoxy is just so damn hardened - it won't peel...

Best way to strip guides on a rod?
I have a Megabass rod that has a few cracks in the wraps. Was wondering if there are any other way to strip the guides off safely without damaging the blank. I have done it in the past with cheaper rods - using a razor blade, but sometimes nick the blank. Just curious if any of you have a better way??

Re: Jackall poison Adrena 7'4 XH question
OK, so my rod arrived today. It is definitely not a broomstick. More of a moderate fast action, similar to my Phase 3 Record Breaker with a little bit less tip and a tad bit more power. This Adrena rod is exactly what I was looking for. I can see using it for 3/4 to 1 oz jigs with trailer and smalle...

I'll let you know if it's a broomstick or not since I paid for 2 day shipping.

Re: Jackall poison Adrena 7'4 XH question
I just ordered the same one this morning because the price is too good to resist. I'm hoping for regular action as i don't want it to be a broom stick. Unfortunately, I won't be able to use it for another 3 months.
