Re: [kroe-nark] : Casting Reel ... 1. must have
Shimano seems to be getting some extra love from TT lately. Seeing this review so soon, while Daiwa zillion sv tws, Tat CT, steez sv Tws and the SV103(which has already came & went) still haven't gotten a review :-k Daiwa no longer sends TT reels for free, while Shimano still do. Factors a lot ...

Re: Check Practicality at the Door : Evergreen's Leopard
If you want a glass composite rod just for the performance, get the Dobyns. If the additional 400 dollars is worth it for the bling, by all means get the Leopard.zatoad wrote:I wonder how the upcoming Dobyns 736CB is going to compare to the Leopard. Similar spec and application between the two rods.

Re: Ring in the Holidays with our 2015 Holiday Gift Guide Pa
Tacky. Every year the same tacky two articles. My search hasn't been exhaustive but I can't find, or recall, any other bass-related website (forums or boat/tackle manufacturers) that choose to use scantily-clad women in their marketing. Nothing wrong with voicing an opinion :) , even if it's in the...

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
Sorry guys.. thought I addressed casting performance more thoroughly, but I cannot check my original document as I am out of town right now and won't be returning until just before we leave for ICAST. We had trouble with the Sweet Drag Chart too on upload. Regarding scoring differences ... it happe...

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
I wonder how much distance did the alphas get, tossing a cross tail shad on a owner mosquito hook.

Re: Cal's review of the TWS Zillion confirmed what we feared
Rods are a whole another story. I own a few shimano rods that were built in China, they are okay. I bought them all on clearance  But dollar for dollar I will take a high-end Loomis over a shimano any day. All I am saying is that in my opinion reels made in Japan are overall much better qualit...

Re: Cal's review of the TWS Zillion confirmed what we feared
Why does this matter. I know Apple/Megabass have production in China. I will 100% still buy them since they are excellent products. Computers are one, thing but when it comes to reels there's a reason most of the high-end models like the stella, chronarch, Calcutta, conquest, TDZ, and steez are made...

Re: Cal's review of the TWS Zillion confirmed what we feared
Daiwa fumbled the redesign of one of their most iconic reels. ](*,) Wish I had a collection of them on a shelf...funds being what they are, I may have to be happy with my two Zillions... Surely I can find an excuse to buy one more :-k That's a shame Daiwa has cheapened one of their best line of ree...

Not to mention that you get two of their scrounger swim jigs with the purchase of any rods ^^.USA-RET wrote:Great review. (@ $169 on clearance at TW, it's a steal)
I'm with you, a 7 foot medium would be (have been) outstanding.

Thanks for the write up, but the score in the front page and back page doesn't match xD.
