Re: Pixy help

As far as I can remember, all of the threaded stars are a direct fit for the Type R.

Can anyone tell me what star drags fit a Pixy. Trying to find a lime green one and didn’t know if any of the slp ones will fit.
Some of the SLP drag stars will fit, but you have to buy the Pixy Type R driveshaft, the clicker assembly, and an SS SV style CCC to make it work.

Re: Steez 103 R+ spool

But as I have what my son calls "an embarrassment of TD-z reels", I still have a couple or three that I am still looking to upgrade. I am considering the RC series of ZPI and the Steez SV-103/105, which Brian at your shop says is a pretty good choice. I just picked up a RC 002. I'll be using it bet...

Re: GLX reel seats

I have an 852S and find the reel seat to be very comfortable. Now I haven't fished it for a day straight or anything like that, but I've put a few hours on it at a time and liked it.

It has nothing to do with being a chicken $hit [-( It takes time, effort, and dedication to hunt down these items, especially oversees when you need to overcome the language barrier. Many more factors could be thrown in, but I'll just leave it at that. When putting in the leg work, only to get burn...

Re: Auction site gems

I wish I could insert the Grinch gif of him saying, "Eeeerrrr, yup." I couldn't believe it when I saw it, plus I also found another reel that has a bunch parts that I've been looking for. So now I have 3 coming my way, but two are getting sent back out once I do a little parts swapping. Lucky devil...

Re: TD Fuego Spools

I recently picked up another 100M spool from Adam for a Zillion project. Looks like I'm going to have to try the rotor and spring swap. Where are you guys sourcing the R+ rotor? Does Daiwa USA have them? or can dem good ol boys in Bama find them? Dem Bama boys are a good source for that sort of thi...

Re: Taming my 100m spool

Are you sure the inductor is moving freely? While I did find the spool a little temperamental with the stock inductor, I currently use a Type R+ inductor and HLC spring and don't have to have the brakes anywhere near that high. Even stock, I didn't have the brakes above 6. Sounds like something isn'...

Re: TD Fuego Spools

Besides the 100m spool being hard to find, is the r+ inductor available from online sources? I was able to get a couple of inductors directly from Daiwa but that was a little while ago. I've heard that their parts supply side of things hasn't been on the ball lately. You might want to call and find...

Re: 105 SV vs 103 SV spool

I recall someone comparing inductor heights from the different SV spools and noting significant differences. I'd say that ad long as you have a comparable inductor and spring on the 103 spool you're installing, it'll perform very similarly to the stock 105.
