Re: 105 SV vs 103 SV spool

I recall someone comparing inductor heights from the different SV spools and noting significant differences. I'd say that ad long as you have a comparable inductor and spring on the 103 spool you're installing, it'll perform very similarly to the stock 105.

Your Fuego has the same magnets as a TD-Z so that Ito spool is still going to need a lot of thumb to control.

A Type R+ spool and HLC spring will really wake up the 100M.
Is the HLC spring stiffer than a R+?
That I'm not sure of, but I think it is.

Re: Maxima Braid 8

Long time 832 user but I'm trying some 10# for fines and trout fishing. So far, I've liked it, especially for bottom contact since it seems to sink pretty well. It does get soft faster than 832, but it's also thinner. I'm using a leader with a crazy Alberto and found I needed to thread the tag end t...

Re: ZPI RC-001 vs. RC-002

Take extra care when removing the shaft pin - the spool shaft is made of duralumin, which is softer and easier to damage then the shafts in the regular Daiwa spools. Does anyone know if this is the case for the NRC spools as well? Yes sir, aluminum spool shafts on the M and PG spools too. The gold ...

Re: RARE SPOOLs

The 002 is shallower than the 001, think of then like older M and PG spools. They one is definitely worth $60.

Re: Steez Gear Mods

I don't think you can find 6.3 brass TD-Z gears new anymore, unless you find someone who has a set sitting around. If you change gears, changing the drive and pinion gears as a set is best. You're just more likely to get a smoother feeling reel that way. Yes, you can just directly swap the gear sets...

Re: Steez Gear Mods

Hi All, I was thinking about to order new gears for steez 103hl but i saw on the web that durability of stock gears may be upgraded to brass from TDZ versions and this information stopped me from ordering stock light alloy gears. Also i did not found any information about successful swaps/replaceme...

Re: tatula 701mrb?

thanks for the replies folks. i'm looking for a new spinnerbait rod, not a crank rod. i like slower action rods for them, i feel like i stick them better. i try to limit myself to 5 rods while i'm fishing, so this rod will be used for 1/8-1/4oz buzzbaits, topwater, and probably squarebills at times...
