Re: Compact Spinnerbaits for smallies
I'm liking the Damiki TOT Type 1 lately.

Re: J-Dream spool?
AMO also makes a shallower, light spool that should toss light stuff well.

Re: Steez A TW HLC mod
Thanks for the link!
I like my J-Dream and HLC spools (the wiffle one at least). I did modify the J-Dream to take a Ray's Studios SV inductor to free it up.

Re: Steez A TW HLC mod
Anyone have a link to this unicorn spool? Sounds like something I need to try.

Re: J-Dream spool?
Resurrecting an older thread .... I recently noticed the rotor position on both the J Dream and HLC spool appear to be similar. As such, would installing a stiff HLC spring on the J Dream spool result in the same/similar performance as the HLC spool? Worth a shot to tinker with for sure. Is the thi...

Re: Braid to Leader - what's your knot of choice?
I use a knot a friend showed me. It's a single uni with the fluoro and an Alberto with the braid. Tied this way, both tag ends exit the knot towards the reel rather than one of them facing away from the reel and potentially causing the knot to hang up on a guide. He doesn't have a name for it but h...

Re: Daiwa Pixilla???
I have 3 and all 3 have different washer thicknesses after the drag star clicker and 2 spring washers. Also, if you're using the carbontex drag stack kit, be sure the last drag stack washer that the one way bearing collar contacts is a thin washer. If not, it'll bind once you get it together.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
So I THOUGHT the Ray's HLC spool with the adjustable depth fixed inductor was relatively controllable in an OG Steez, that is, until I realized my outer magnet ring wasn't glued to the setplate. Once I fixed that and took it back out... Yeah, it's going back in my TD-Z   Which model of th...

Just looked it up and it says they're made of a titanium, high modulus carbon mix.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
The RED Amo spool might be worth a go in and OG Steez for a fixed inductor spool. I really liked mine with my SS SV103 and LTD. It was a very consistent and effortless caster. The key is to avoid the blue and purple spools. Those have thinner inductors and aren't useable in that platform. http://ww...
