Re: Scorpion DC vs SLX DC
My first choice would be 2022 SLX DC XT 70 and second would be 2017 scorpion DC 100. The SLX DC XT come with MGL spool and shallower spool make it very capable of everything from light to heavy. Some said 70i DC but to me 70K dc would be more suitable. MGL spool, Main shaft support bearing, these a...

Re: 2021 Shimano Reels
Does anyone have any details on the new Scorpion DC I have seen pics of? Should I just grab another of the current Curado DC or is the enough new coming that I should wait?

Oneten Special vs Expride 6’10M handle
Looking for some info on how the overall handle length compares on these two rods. I currently have the 6’10M Expride and I find the handle to be a hair long in the butt. I like the rod, but the handle is a bit frustrating. Is the Oneten Special handle
any shorter?
Thanks

Re: Shimano Stradic FL (Smootheness)?
That’s the “upgraded” carbon fiber drag. I’ve learned the hard way that any line you use 12lb and under, the drag is better with the regular felt washers. I believe the new FL’s are felt in the 1000 and 2500, carbon fiber in 3000 and up. Wonder if you can swap out to 2500 felt, previous models 2500...

Re: Shimano Stradic FL (Smootheness)?
I got 2 of the FL in the 3000XG the other day. I have not bought a stradic since the MGFA came out. I have been fishing Sustains for years and years now. 5he reels are very smooth. The drag, while it has not failed me at all in any way, has a slight bit of stutter or chop in it. It is not terrible, ...

Re: PROX PE-XX WX8
I ran it today. So far I am happy with it. It is very thin, and casted great on light spinning gear. Hooked quite a few fish in it with no issues.

Re: PE-XX WX8
The spool looks like G Soul actually. Similar Label too.

PROX PE-XX WX8
Is anyone familiar with this line? I was looking to try G Soul and had this one offered instead. It seems very thin in the 16lb. Feels similar to smackdown off the top of my head.
Expride
I was just told that 2021 will be the last year for the Expride. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks

Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS...Guide Question
So I am considering the 7’6” ML worth he AGS guides. I typically like to run a long fluorocarbon leader with a fine diameter braid mainline. I am a bit concerned about guide damage. I usually use the FG knot. Does anyone have any input on hide damage using a setup such as this? I know they recommend...

Re: Expride Backorders
Thanks for the reply. It seems even worse here in Canada. Was hoping to try the 7’2” MH for tubes but settled for the Zodias in the meantime.
