freelancer27, we usually are using frogs with either double hooks or large soft plastics with big single hooks.

How is your budget? What about a Steez Machine Gun Cast type3. 6'9"?
This is a medium heavy. I am not sure if it is the right choice for frogs in heavy cover.
No worries. We use it for Barramundi in heavy cover. What about the Blenheim? Next rating up. Same length but a heavy rating.

I’d actually be ok with the cost being the same or close to the Tranx, as long as I could get it in a high speed version (7:1 plus) with a standard handle (no power knob). Basically an updated version of the 300e with a slightly higher gear ratio.
Would the Tranx 300 fit the bil? Choice of ratios

Re: 2019 Daiwa Admira Baitcaster

Think its a reel designed for filefish, or leatherjackets as we call them here in Oz. Delicious but often in plague proportions and considered pests when they move in on grounds when you are targeting something else. Reel seems an expensive reel for its intended purpose but could be used for slow pi...

Re: Curado DC levelwind not moving.

Probably dirt in worm mechanism. They "disengage" to prevent damage. Try stopping it with your finger to replicate problem.

Re: TDZ guys...

Only you can judge "value". Its very personnal. Just with what you list you will be over $400 in an old reel, which will be far from NIB condition.

Re: Roller clutch issues?

If the site admins would introduce a "block user" function, then every one could make up their own mind as to what and who they believe. Would save members having to scroll through the same "I am gods gift to reel tuning" rubbish.
