Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Ok educate me here. Does the line roller not already have 2 bearings? Do you have the link to the IOS Factory D-System Drag Upgrade and Line Roller kit? Thanks...I've said it a million times but this is a curse....LOL. Regards No I believe the stock version of the reel has one bearing and one bushi...

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Also, looking at the Ballistic, upgrading to the full 11 bearings, and upgrading the knob isn’t much cheaper than just buying the Daysprout version that is already tuned and you get it in black. Thanks much for the info on the reel. Your assessment, and after watching an untold number of hours of a...

Is the spool diameter same as the Daiwa 1003s? Thanks.
The spool diameter for the reel is 39mm...same as on the Luvias 1003. But the spools are different.....they are not interchangeable.

Re: 1/64oz Rod Recommendation

I usually only fish for trout once a year for our opening day here in PA and have used a St.Croix Triumph UL with few issues. I own several Megabass sticks for bass fishing and I feel the sensitivity is lacking in the St. Croix. The rod is very parabolic and I have a hard time detecting slack line ...

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

All I have to say is this reel feels just like my old Exist LT1000S-P, fishes and reacts the same. Definitely a must have reel for me. Doing some research I found out that the reel is a highly tuned 2019 Ballistic FW LT 1000S-P. Quite a few of the articles I read refer to it as the "Little Exist" s...

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Sweet looking reel. What do you think this reel is based off of? Looks to be an Exist with SLP parts, according to Japan Daiwa website: https://slpworks-order.com/ That’s one fine reel but it is not a blacked out Exist. An regular Exist is nearly 1.5 times the price and a SLP Works Exist sells for ...

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Congrats! That reel is the perfect crappie reel.....not to mention true finesse. Do you know which model Daiwa reel they have converted.....or is it a stand alone model? Looks like something right up my alley.....where did you purchase? Thanks in advance.

Shimano...nor Daiwa USA service JDM reels but there a lot of folks out there who do.....and at reasonable price.

Not a BFS guy but I certainly laud you for the effort it took to write this up and do the work with the gear.

Re: 1-3g hard baits

Thought I would throw this one out there. The 3 gram Magbite McFly. It is the real deal. Smallies....KY bass....shellcracker.....crappie...bluegill........white bass.......they all kill it. Haven’t been this excited about a lure since I first started using Trout Magnet over 11 years ago. Have 21 Mag...

Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

I’m just happy to be able to test out what I do and report on it. Like everything I have ordered from Japan once you use their gear there is no going back. Believe me they’re days I’ve lost more jigs than I care to admit to.....and other days I lose none. I can’t bring myself to go back to other jig...

Re: Initial impression of FAX-632 SUL "New" Fine Tail.

Update on rod. Have not been out in the boat since getting the rod. But have made 3 trips to a local river and JPP bank fishing in the shade. Have caught a lot of small sunfish.....a few 9 inch shell cracker and several 9 inch smallmouth. The bite detection “sensitivity” is superb. Fun factor with t...

Initial impression of FAX-632 SUL "New" Fine Tail.

I just received a “New” Major Craft Fine Tail FAX 63 SUL Area Trout Rod. I stepped out of my comfort zone as I had said I most likely would never purchase any more JDM rods that were not high end. I really wanted to check this rod out for several reasons. Not a lot of folks will spend 300 dollars on...
