Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

Hi Randy, I saw your post saying you are going down to size 10 instead of 8 and that 'it makes things easier'. Can you explain what you mean by that and why the shift? Have you ever had these hooks pull straight given how thin they are? Thanks. Ive caught some 20 inch Smalles on these hooks...never...

Re: Broken Tict Ice Cube 69f rockin finesse

I accidentally high-sticked my Tict Ice Cube rod while trying to net a slab crappie and snapped off the solid carbon tip section of my rod. This is the top 5-6 inches of solid carbon tip. This rod is a 2 piece rod and I was wondering is it possible to just buy the top piece of the rod and salvage t...

Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

Thanks for this... from the hook eye to furthest reach of hook bend... should be the same no matter what weight as long as the hook size is the same. Width is the outside of hook on both sides of bend. Then wire thickness if you have some digital calipers. I will be able to do this myself at some p...

Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

I am still waiting for my test batch of these to arrive, but can someone measure one of the jigheads with the size 8 hook for me? I would like hook total length and width across the point. Also wire thickness if possible. Thanks!! Quite an assignment....LOL. Do you want length of the jig head or ju...

Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

By the way, for those of you using this jighead, do you generally prefer the black or the white/pink heads? Do you think that it makes any difference? Thanks. I don’t think it makes any difference at all. I use black and have used the red ones. I noticed no difference in my catch rate. In the end I...

On ebay the soare was nearly $300 and the other was just over $200.
That’s a good price on the Soare ci4+ Ajing. Plat is selling it at $345.

Re: Rod recs for some reels

Thanks for the recs! I like these two: Shimano soare ci4+ ajing S604L-S And Major craft n one series NSL S682 aji Yall have any experience with these two? Well The Soare ci4+ Ajing blows the N-One out of the water. I do not own the Soare ci4+ but my son has the N-One. The Shimano is just superior i...

Re: Rod recs for some reels

I found two reels in my storage unit. And rather than sell them I'd rather scour the internet for new rods. One is a shimano saros 1000 & a shimano sahara 750. This is my spinning L/UL rod collection at the moment: 1) st croix premier UL 6ft 6 2) gloomis IMX UL 6ft 6 3) st croix panfish 6ft 9 UL 4)...

Gotcha , just want to make sure it’s not too stiff for mini jigs
Its a stiff rod..an ajing rod...but I used it a lot with 1/64 and 1/32 jig heads.

Thanks for the heads up, by chance does the 6’10 TZ fish similar to the 7’1?
Check out the bending curve of the 610TZ on the Smallies. My nephew did this video.

Re: Mini jig rod for trout.

Thanks for the heads up, by chance does the 6’10 TZ fish similar to the 7’1? Close I would say...I don't own a 71 but the bending curves are close. I did own a 610 and a 65. Used the 610 to jig up and land 350 Smallies out of Dale Hollow Lake in spring of 2016 off the spawning flats in a 5 day peri...

Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

Thanks. Curious what you guys average in cost per pack of these jigs after factoring in shipping and fees. Thanks. I have an order of 100 jig heads on the way and the average with shipping is 95 cents each. I have another 800 out in the garage of everything from .5 gram through 2 grams. I was getti...

Re: Daiwa GEKKABIJIN SW LIGHT JIGHEAD

Quick question Alphahawk & TMax37, I like the 0.5 gram heads for the troutmagnets. What size hooks do you use? The size 10 and 8 both fit and I am wondering if you found one preferable over the other, and why? Also, the size 10 is really very fine wire. I wonder if I will straighten it using anythi...
