I have the right handed version, and when I messed my spring up, I just replaced it with a PXR spring. Same spring.

I have used mine for almost everything except big swimbaits and a-rigs. I mainly use it for finesse stuff, but I often switch to 3/8-1/2 oz jigs and it does that just fine. I've also used it many times to fish frogs. I have a stock Ito and it definately pitches better than it. Can't comment on the 1...

I know you have it back on now, but Ian had made a video to show how to do it on YouTube. He was using needle nose pliers. It helped me, but I can't find the video or I would post it. Maybe a search on here and you could find it.

Yep, but here's something I've ran across a couple times. My local tackle shops still have them in stock, and Ive been lucky to snag some that way. I'm in an area where not many guys spend $15 on a lure. So try out your local tackle shops. You can also find them in open and used condition from Japan...
