Re: Daiwa spinning reels
Travis, I'm with you. Seems the younger guys I talk to can't understand why you would want one but I certainly miss them on all the newer reels.

Re: High quality ul hardbait rod
I don't know if it is an option for you but a custom can be anything/everything you want. I have been using a NFC CB661 Moderate UL it is rated for 1/16 to 5/16 so I'm not sure that blank would serve your needs. If you are able to go custom I would suggest you look at some UL blanks. Most are listed...

Re: New NFC material
It had popped up on FB for me but it is also on their website all the way at the bottom. Doesn't give much information, what it does give is intriguing,

New NFC material
Did anyone else see the announcement from NFC about a new material? The stated improvements are pretty impressive. Of course I would assume it will be awhile before it is available, going from past history.

Re: Shipping tubes
Have no idea where you are but you might try your local sporting goods store. They receive many rods in tubes and if they don't sell online they probably have some laying around.

Re: OG Team Daiwa Red Fuego 2000 Question
Mine is a 2000. The OD of the Drag knob is 26.01 mm as close as I can measure. Anyway just over 1 inch. Good luck on your search.

Re: Daiwa Airity LT Reel
There are some differences in the one in the article and the picture that was posted. Whether it is the same reel with just color scheme changes or not I don't know.

I believe there is now a article on TZlure about this reel. It just showed up within the last day or so.

Hobey
That would be a great option. I didn't notice much difference between the CI4 and the Vanford.

Re: Daiwa Kage LT MQ
So consider this a "for what it is worth" comment. I have not fished the Vanford or the KageMQ but I have handled both. Things to think about, neither are made in Japan. There is a pretty good price difference. The Vanford 2500 has an "I" knob the KageMQ has a "T" knob....

Re: NRX Guides
zelmo, sorry I just assumed it was a blue rod. Not sure what the green color is but don't think a small mismatch will be as noticeable with the green as it is with the blue. Glad you were able to get the guide, and yes to order just a small item like that, the shipping is often equal or more than th...

Re: NRX Guides
I believe it is a Recoil Black Pearl ''Spinning" guide #6 but to be safe I would also order a #5 Micro. If you are ordering thread also it is #413 Prowrap color fast.

Re: Skip casting reels.
If you like round reels I would try a Calcutta DC. Quite a few recommend the other DC reels for skipping. I guess if you are good, I'm not, you can skip with anything.
