Throw on a split ring (if so, what size) or directly tie on the line?
I say Kreh's loop direct to the eye!

Any particular favorites for bottom bouncing clear-ish reservoirs in late Fall/early Spring? Largemouth and smallies

Re: Expride 7' light spinning

I've been fishing this rod for the past season and it's been great. Very light and sensitive. Great for 1/4 and under for my tastes and shines with 1/8 - 3/16 ounce weights. Anyone has both the 7' light and the 6'10ML? I can't imagine a bass rod much lighter in action than the 6'10ML...does the 7' ...

Re: Jbraid grand issues

I'm thinking they must have QC issues, the 30lb blue I was using and stripped off was fluffy and not woven tightly. I have a spool of the grey light color and it is much tighter woven. I haven't tried the green color but the other ones haven't bled. Yes, the Island Blue is fluffier than the grey......

I was curious about x8 Grand so I did a search, these are the two best posts I found
Lmfao...I guess time compounded my irritation with that line.

Re: Jbraid grand issues

I stripped all the grand off my reels, went back to x8. It's a fluffier, looser weave, and I don't like it.

I have no experience with anything lighter than 14lb, but Shooter is a lot more abrasion resistant than Sniper. 7lb shouldn’t be any different. Shooter is pretty much as close to a true leader line without being marketed as leader line.
Thank you!

I had the same exact results with 18lb. Broke every time I set the hook. Threw it away after the second trip and went back to Shooter. Better line for the same price.
Very interesting.

Is Shooter more abrasion resistant than Sniper? I like that 7lb dia...

Sunline FC Leader 7lb

Used it for the first time this week, not impressed. Material is slightly softer than Seaguar STS, a hair thinner in dia to the STS 8lb...but abrasion resistance is not even close. I was jig worming sparse millfoil, and my small loop knot would cut open on the jig line tie, just snapping through gra...

Re: New grease suggestions

So it's been a while to get back to you. I did get literature and a reference from one shop that uses it for servicing reels - the typical "this product is the bestest" letter. I also got a blown tube from work so will give that a go in one of my reels... When I said blown tube... Seriously sticky ...

I'm mid way through year round season 2 with one well used spool of SS112 - it's shown no signs of deterioration whatsoever. It still performs like I just spooled it.
Thanks Gary, sounds like just the ticket for deep finesse stuff :)

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

The 10# SS112 has performed beautifully for me with finesse type applications. It's on my Exist LT/Steez AGS 76MML combo now. I find it to be a little softer/more limp than comparable SS140 in 11#, but the SS140 does sink a little faster. Both are incredible lines - get a spool of each and report b...

Re: Keitech Shad Impact

Are we mainly referring to the 4”? I have some 3” incoming that I want to try for searun brown trout (1/32-1/16 jig head)... I've fished the 3" on a dropshot to some success, I would wager on a 1/32 head (and perhaps #2 hook) it would mirror the action of the 4" perfectly. The 5" shad impact has vi...

Re: Jackall Rerange 110

I've had a couple months fishing with the Rerange 110 and 130 with great success. The stock trebles need to be changed as they snap off easily. I replaced them with Owner Stinger #6 trebles and even though they are heavier, the action does not seem to be effected. I picked up 3 Rerange 110s differe...

Rigged it on a weighted ewg swimbait hook and caught the biggest fish of the day \:D/
Unweighted EWG they have a subtle shimmy on the fall that is deadly...on a slow steady wind it wanders and does a half roll side to side. Very underrated bait!
