Re: Phenix Spreads Their Wings Into the Line Market with Hydra Braid
Good to know that is seems to be a quality line. I'm always wary when a certain type of company (in this case rod builder) magically develops and brings to market a new product. Did they slap together a PE factory, or are they outsourcing and if so where and with whom? Questions I always like to kn...

Re: Could It Be Magic? Megabass's US P5 F5.5-76X Mark-56
The review stated that the M56 handled 3.5 - 4oz baits easily. Were you full on sending those payloads, or were you more side arm lob-casting those baits?Cal wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 2:42 pmComplete Article: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewmegabas ... ark56.html

Stella FK Knob Replacement
There's a black sleeve that goes over the knob post on my Stella FK - if I'm putting an aftermarket knob on (Avail EVA slim), do I install that sleeve with the new knob? I tried leaving the sleeve on but couldn't get the knob to spin freely. This is with zero additional washers just the 2 bearings. ...

Re: Expride EXC610MGB vs EXC70MGB
The difference is just the length. Mostly for Japanese and US market. I like the 6"10" when fishing tight structure and making shorter casts with smaller square bills or other smaller cranks. It's interesting you say that bc there is no 610M-G JDM model, but there is a 70M-G JDM model off...

Expride EXC610MGB vs EXC70MGB
Exact same ratings, 2" apart - what techniques did Shimano have in mind with these two glass rods?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: New Twin Power C2000SHG is making a rubbing sound
I made this video of my new Twin Power C2000SHG. I'm fairly new to spinning reels and have no idea what it can be. I did contact Bryan, the guy who used to do reel repair at The Tackle Trap, about sending it to him but I haven't heard anything yet. I read the post earlier about Bantam saying Shiman...

Re: Newer Shimanos - Line Roller Grease
Thanks Bantam.
Would you use TSI-321 for the line roller bearing? I usually flood it with 321 after rinsing/drying post saltwater trips.BARRAMANIAC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 03, 2022 4:33 amTSI-321 is fully synthetic and is safe with rubber and plastic. But yes be careful of mineral oils.

Newer Shimanos - Line Roller Grease
I've noticed that on all the Shimano spinners I've purchased recently, the line roller barely spins. After taking my Exsence line roller out to inspect, it's caked/stuffed with a white grease. I removed it, opting for a thinner oil (TSI321), but I'm wondering why even on freshwater sizes and models ...

Re: JDM Stella/Vanquish etc Service
I have explained that it needs to be defined to the customer service/reel repair manager. Hopefully they will clarify. The reason JDM do not get Platinum service is because the reels were purchased outside of the dealers here. You have to remember that the cost of the reels has warranty and other f...

Re: JDM Stella/Vanquish etc Service
The reason Platinum service has been suspended is because of overall volume of reels coming in for service. We simply cannot keep up with demand at the current time. We are still trying to achieve the 48 hours... Understood, and thank you for the info. Based on the uproar at the other forum...it mi...

JDM Stella/Vanquish etc Service
Read on another board that Shimano USA has dropped its "platinum service" for USDM Stellas due to current shortage of parts/labor - wondering how that would affect possible service scenarios for JDM models of the Stella FK and other higher end JDM Shimanos? I'm eyeing both in the 3000MHG, ...

New Expride 72ML"BFS"
Saw the new Expride B version of the 72ML casting rod downgraded the upper end lure rating to 1/2 from 5/8.
Did the blank change? or is it just an updated lure rating for the same blank?
Thanks.
