Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Yea...probably a new thread altogether regarding usdm vs jdm pricing. When I picked up a 7' H+ Glorious a few months ago from tackle haven, they 'also recommended' the conquest 844 @ $550... same price as the glorious. To keep this on topic, I'll ask if these new megabass sticks have surprising powe...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

So I missed the release of this new destroyer...and even icast for that matter (dealing with my cannabis grow). Happened to see this new 'p5' on Japan lure shop's website while shopping for another Glorious stick. I noticed the new destroyers were very light, seemed to be no-frills, and were priced ...

Re: Just received my Zillion 10

Hadn't seen this newest 1000 version...clearly aimed at the Metanium. "Let's make it the same color in case anyone is confused. "

Re: Just received my Zillion 10

It seems to me that this new daiwa platform (steez A platform) is the same shape in all its variants, but not the same size. I began thinking this when I received my new 10's and they palmed better than my tat 100's....even though the frames appear to be the same.

Re: Just received my Zillion 10

I like certain qualities of the old platform, but the zillion 10 really feels like a more refined reel. I have blue scl star drags on mine.

Re: My 2020 rod/reel arsenal - High end Shimano/Loomis

These are codes from a shimano rep. We used to call them 'pro-staff' deals (even though you aren't actually a staffer), where you get a form to order 10 or 12 items at 50% off. Now days they give you a code to order directly from the manufacturers website. The shimano codes come 2 per flyer and you ...

Re: My 2020 rod/reel arsenal - High end Shimano/Loomis

I havent used my shimano discount codes yet, but I won't be buying near that much stuff when I do. That's a stockpile. I used to be a guy who wanted all my stuff to match for a congruent lineup, so I can appreciate that.

Well, I can say the old NFC carbon grips were junk. They have made improvements, so they say. I'm assuming they should be better
I like the carbon grips on my black widows. They look and feel like carbon fiber. My Glorious XC's look and feel like plastic.

Re: St. Croix Legend Xtreme 2020

Still waiting to see how the sensitivity compares to a NRX. I wish the whole handle was carbon fiber. I also thought for the price you should get a carbon handle. When I picked up a couple of edge black widows a few years ago, I talked to edge as I had a couple questions. I remember the guy touting...

Re: Question about the Efreet

I was looking hard at these sticks a couple of months ago, and was doing some searching on here. Came across a thread where aquafun45 picked one up. I will say the same search pulled up a thread in the swap and sell where he sold the efreet a couple months later. Maybe he'll stop by... http://tackle...

Tackle haven has a pre-order going on for the new ultima. I'd post a link, but I'm half way through the process of placing an order(my CC company always assumes its fraud). Its like $719.

Re: What rod/reel combo has/will withstand the test of time?

My Loomis BCR803 GLX rod. T-rig and finesse jig dream! Probably stills the most sensitive rod I own. I liked my 803, but really loved my 852bcr. Those recoils really gave that glx series a boost in sensitivity. Not really talked about much, but recoils seem to be the 'drag radials' of guides with m...

I think the new zbone is the only one....that I know of anyway. I have 2 black widows built with IM blanks im thinking of having a builder swap in x-ray's..
